Lexington Ave.

It is time for the city of Cape to put Lexington out of its misery. Just pave it with asphalt already and quit trying to patch it. Just sayin'.

Missouri gov.

He has called for two special sessions and the taxpayers still have not received their tax refunds. He is doing all he can to make the working people pay for everything, including lower wages for the benefit of the rich and big businesses. Thanks to St. Louis for increasing the minimum wages that our corrupt legislators will not do.

City budget

What in the heck is going on at City Hall?? Our city budget is going down by $15 million but our sewer, water and trash rates are going up. WHAT?!

Turn off television

Perhaps the person who is so concerned about CNN and its coverage of Trump should take a novel approach. Turn off the television and go get a job. You are going to need it, especially if you are between 50 and 62 years old.

Lexington Ave: Be cheaper just to close it off to traffic would it not or just put up with the patchwork.

Missouri gov: Just move to St. Louis if that will make you happy....BTW, be sure to take your guns with you.

City budget: Got to make up the difference some how.

Turn off television: Doesn't everyone need to have a job no matter what age group. The days of free stuff is almost over.

And that's the way it should be....Tuesday June 13, 2017.

If the above comments upset you or cause physical/mental problems, I am sorry but the truth hurts some folks.

  • Missouri gov....there should be no such thing as a special session , elected officials , or the Government , work for the People . The Government should not set wages for the private sector , no where in the Constitution does it guarantee the Right to wages . The Government does need to get rid of it's own bloated payroll and bureaucracy because it's a burden to the tax payers . The Government works for the People , not the People works for the Government .

Turn off television...what does a job , age , and a television have to do with Trump ? Sounds like you have a fixation with Trump and need something better to do .

Regarding Trump , it's the rain that makes the flowers grow and not the thunder ...

  • Minimum wage rules were first introduced by progressives as a way to keep minorities from competing in the labor market. Nothing has changed with that concept except it now it targets the least and most experienced workers alike.

  • JEFFERSON CITY, MO (KFVS) -

A group of Missouri State Senators has called for an investigation of Missouri Governor Eric Greitens for alleged illegal and unethical conduct during his campaign.

Six senators, Doug Libla (R-Poplar Bluff), Jason Holsman (D-Kansas City), Ryan Silvey (R-Kansas City), Scott Sifton (D-Affton), Bob Dixon (R-Springfield), and Rob Schaaf (R-St. Joseph), co-sponsored legislation that would establish a non-partisan Senate committee to investigate.

    Rick,

We have the Federal Government whizzing away money on investigations, or "Matters" as the case may be, why not compound our money shortages by doing some investigating at the state level.

Somebody must be peeved about being called back into session to finish what they left undone. Oh well!
