Both lanes of Highway 177 reopened after flood closure

Highway 177 just north of the Cape Girardeau city limits has reopened following the road's closure last week due to rising Mississippi River backwater, according to a news release sent out this afternoon by MoDOT.

This morning water had receded enough to open one lane of the road, which was closed from County Road 643 to 657. This afternoon MoDOT announced both lanes were open.
