Speak Out 8/29/08Friday, August 29, 2008
Homeless donations A SPEAK Out caller was referring to McCain's houses and said he should give at least one or two to the homeless. McCain gives better than 28 percent of his income to charity and Obama gives 1 percent, his wife, 4.7 percent. I think somebody else should be giving away their money to the homeless which they advocate for so much, not McCain. Interview tactics IT SEEMS that CBS is really promoting one of the presidential candidates. I saw a supposed interview that Harry Smith was having with this person and mostly it was an opportunity to give this person, seems like 10 or 15 minutes of air time to do his electioneering because Harry sat there most of the time with his finger in the ear, looking at him and didn't say hardly anything. So it was not an interview, it was a talk situation that presented and gave this candidate a lot of free air time on TV. Spay and neuter I AM so sick of the free-for-the-taking ads being full of kittens and puppies. In the words of Bob Barker, people, spay and neuter your pets. Innuendo in commercials SO MANY commercials today and programs too, but especially commercials have to have some kind of ridiculous type of display of people on these that has nothing to do with the product and most all of them have some sexual insinuations about them. I think these people should know that may entice some people to buy their product or use their product, but as far as I'm concerned in my family, if we are already using that product, we quit and we certainly don't start because of that type of advertising. Most times I turn it off or mute it and won't even listen to it. A reader's choice IF YOU don't like reading Bob and Callie Miller's column, don't read it. McCain's view THE THINGS I find abhorrent about John McCain not knowing he owns seven houses is that when homeownership comes so easy to him that he doesn't even know how many he has, how can he possibly understand what it's like for those of us losing houses at a heart-stopping rate? And no, not everyone purchased houses above their means. Most got caught between adjustable rates shooting their mortgage payments skyward and unimaginable utility bills. This isn't a problem of irresponsible buyers, it's a problem of adjustable rate mortgages and elevated interest. Explain lemonade AS FAR as people bringing their own lemonade packets when they go out to eat, if you go to a restaurant, you're supposed to drink there. However, if you have dietary restrictions that make it necessary for you to pour that lemonade powder in your water, explain your actions to the server and tip as though you bought a drink. Relating to column BOB AND Callie Miller's column is a hoot. I look forward to it every week. I don't happen to find baby poop or cow manure disgusting. When you think of the many varied ways babies can get you, anyone who's been around babies can relate. Millers should grow up I FEEL it my duty to speak out about this. I, too, will be dropping my subscription to the Southeast Missourian after 29 years if the Bob and Callie articles that are very disgusting and crude do not stop. These people should grow up if they want to be productive citizens of our county. Column was hilarious I'M CALLING to disagree with the Speak Out caller that said Bob and Callie Miller's column of Aug. 17, the Sunday before, was totally disgusting. I thought it was hilarious. In fact, I cut it out and saved it, showed it to my daughter and friends and we all laughed and laughed. This is real life. It was a funny spin on it and I think that's what we need more of. Love the paper's look THIS IS in regards to how the paper's looking. Love it, love the new designs and to the person who called in about the ads in the paper, it makes you wonder how they think that you get the extra money to keep the low cost of the paper going. And the other thing about Bob and Callie Miller's column, how they talk about poop and stuff like that. I found it to be a pleasurable thing because it took me back to the days of when I had my children and that's all your life had to focus on, is your children and where you were at then. Some people need to get their head out of their heinies and start reading things. They might be surprised at what they might learn. Gone bonkers Writing that there is a desperate need to drill for oil in Missouri right now if not sooner leaves no doubt that the editorial board has gone bonkers. Convention cynics Back to square one. Obama supporters should not be concerned about the lack of a convention boost for Barack Obama in the polls. Voters have become so cynical about these scripted and staged party conventions that they actually cause a drop in the polls for a party's candidate. Thus, Obama will take a hit and, soon, so will McCain. JHS student unhappy As a senior at Jackson High School I am very unhappy about the new changes this year. Due to closed campus lunch, I eat lunch at 10:30. I eat the food from the cafeteria where my cheeseburger buns are hard and my cheesecake frozen. I would like to see Dr. Anderson and the rest of the school board eat lunch at 10:30 then go to work and not have a chance to eat until they got off work at 9:30. KingsKid,
In case you hadn't noticed...this is a SpeakOut forum. I voiced MY take on her. Obviously, we (her and I) follow a different set of values and principles in which we live by.
OH, gosh darn...I forgot...it is ONLY okay to pick apart Democratic candidates and their running mates.
Doc, just face the fact that Babe is a da#@ Republican. Of course she would think any Republican candidate for ANY office would be wonderful, great, fantastic, etc. Never mind the facts as they only get in the way.
Some have chosen to pick the new VP running mate of Sen John McCain apart. I'm sure that makes you feel better about yourself. She is a breath of fresh air coming into Washington rather then the stale air that has been poluting our lives that comes out of there. I'll not waste my time trying to convince easily offended females that after all these years the talk has been about females being able to have it all, career and family that you would balk about someone that does 'have it all.' After you're finished picking at her, you will find, she still stands and your pick is out in the dust picking himself wondering why his talk of change didn't help him in the end. How long will it take before it becomes clear that talk is cheap but actions speak loud?
Pups
This is not Britain with a problem of Harry's security concerns.
McCain's son was deployed to Iraq in April.
RG,
Not all military in Iraq see combat. The GOP VP canidate's son might fall into that group. Have to agree, I don't think the Secret Service will allow a VP canidate's Son to run the risk of being captured by the enemy. But others with more knowledge of military policies will have to let me know if I'm wrong.
Well, we seem to be culling many posters here who have postured as 'both parties are the same' attitude. Now, suddenly, they are outing themselves as true liberals. LOL
Palin's Son in Iraq
IF Palin's son goes to Iraq, which he may have to, or, at least be deployed to somewhere in the Middle East, just until the election, at least, then you can damn well bet that he will be so damn safe, and cushy, that Ft. Campbell will look like a gulag, compared to where he spends his time.
Someone up on Secret Service Protection for VPOTUS family, would her son qualify? If so, he will be protected. If not, he will be protected.
Just think, if that, scary, very spooky all-encompasing group, Al Queada would kidnap him, well that wouldn't be kosher. Can't have that sons of the CIA enamee holding the son of the VPOTUS, now, could we?
He may go to Iraq, stay in the UAE, or, Kuwait, be assigned to a ship on TDY, anything, but I doubt very, very seriously that he will be patroling in the badlands, like the rest of the 130,000 men and women are.
But then, again, he might go to Bagdhad, and even venture outside of the Green Zone. After all, the war has been won and it is all peaches and cream in the cradle of civilization now. Thanks be to, god-George Bush.
Doctor....
"McCain lookin' a lot like Uncle Joe" on Petticoat Junction....Thank you, Doctor, ....LMAO..once again.
Me'Lange... Good solid points about Palin and her family not being first, nor, even second. Hadn't thought about that. Thanks for bringing them up.
OK
Usually this is joke time for me but in an effort to reconcile with my Dem-Witted friends and unify the country I offer the following remedy.
There is just over two months until the election, an election that will
decide the next President of the United States
The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the
Democrats or the Republicans.
To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice.
It's time that we come together, Democrats and Republicans alike.
If you support the policies and character of John McCain, please drive with your headlights on during the day.
If you support Obama, please drive with your headlights off at night.
Thank you for your participation.
Good Night Folks:
MeLange
You are such a little fool to think that Sarah Palin's son will not go to Iraq.
Theorist
I'm still witing on your answer to join me in a little bone sawing. Mr King of Compassion. Bok, bok, bok!

What is this?
Catch you tomorrow...
Fajar,
I have no idea what you are talking about....none at all. You know nothing about me, or who I am. I can virtually guarantee your profile would be way off.
You have no reason to call me a hypocrite, I promise you this. What are you asking? What do you want?
Accidently recorded THE CBS Special Report...thus I watched the announcement and HER speech.
A couple points really stuck out...
She has 5 children, the latest with Down Syndrome and she CHOOSES to be in politics v. taking care/focusing on her family.
She was okay with supporting the family while her husband stayed at home with the kids? (See told you I'm not a traditional woman's lib gal.)
In my book...sorry, mom/wife/family second...career third...faith above all...in vogue (popularity/fashion/beauty pageants)...not on my list.
AND she really played up the point (aka..."used") that her oldest child is headed to Iraq next month, that he enlisted on 9/11 et al. Now that SHE is a vice-presidential running mate...do you really think her oldest child will STILL be going to Iraq? No I don't think he will...because now he will be a political target...putting himself and his comrades in danger.
Theorist
I have a theory about you.
Your a putz. No, that's an assumption.
You talk a big game. No, you really haven't talked about a whole lot of anything.
Your a hypocrite. No, I am the one who cares more about the things in my own life. You could be Mother Freaking Theresa for all I know.
Well I'm at a lose. I have NOOOOOOO compassion. "I'd be friends with the sparrows. Or the boy who shoots the arrows. If I only had a heart!"
Bald Guy
Look at it this way, If BO had gone to that church for a month or two and then pulled his family out when Wright started his inflammatory rants then I would go along with your logic no questions asked! But he continued to go for 20 years and even let that man Christen his children. Now Either he is a racist just like Jeremiah Wright or he can claim that he never seen that type of behavior from Wright which would make him a liar or very Stupid.
3 Choices which do you prefer?
I have reading and laughing.... I actually think this is going to benefit Obama. While a strategic move, which I admit I didn't foresee, Palin might be just what the Dr. (no pun) ordered.
Just wait and see.....
You must be my husband's latest girlfriend. giggle
-- Posted by BABE on Fri, Aug 29, 2008, 7:45 pm CDT
Oh latest, does this mean there were girlfriends before the divorce? Sounds like marriage was sacred to that conservative household. giggle
-- Posted by notsureitssafeinhere on Fri, Aug 29, 2008, 8:33 pm
Laughing....this is priceless!
Well, the Media hound-dogs are hot on the Palin Trail. It appears the investigation into her abuse of power will IRONICALLY come to a conclusion around Oct 31. LOL...No wonder McCain doesn't look too happy to be standing beside her. LOL
Theorist
I'm still witing on your answer to join me in a little bone sawing. Mr King of Compassion. Bok, bok, bok!
Uncle Joe McCain with Sarah Palin, Cindy McCain, and his first wife Carol Shepp
http://petticoat.topcities.com/...
Uh-ho!
Carol Shepp was a Swimwear Model
Cindy Hensley McCain Cindy Hensley was named Junior Rodeo Queen of Arizona in 1968.
Sarah Palin won the Miss Wasilla beauty contest, then finished second in the Miss Alaska pageant.
Hmmm This is really really really interesting. I'm seeing a pattern here! Anyone else?
"I would hope that after 8 years of neocon-zionist-"wahabi-little "c"" chistrian destruction to this nation"
HI MIKE. Why change the name and avatar so often? Is it because you seem to lack the stamina to stay in the fight? Or is it you can never hide who you really are? You have always give some GREAT posts. I will NEVER deny you that, most I scroll right on through, but you cut and paste the same tired message.
I am no Obama fan, but at least he can see an opportunity for a brighter future. Coming from more of MY money, a brighter future for the masses none-the-less.
LOL!! Speaking of Petticoat Junction, McCain was looking an awful lot like Uncle Joe. LOL
Fajar,
"Hey, I tell my wife she can "use" me all the time. It's only dirty if yoy have nothing to gain yourself. Remember that lil lady. -- Posted by fajar154 on Fri, Aug 29, 2008, 7:42 pm CDT
hehehe...Very true. I bow to the master! And hum..."used" in your context...sounds like fun!
:-)~
Okay then...better exit the public forum, before the mind wandering goes too far south. Have a great holiday weekend ALL!
Robert Goodbody you nailed it! I thought that hairstyle looked familiar.
SARAH PALIN...The Brunette, Tammy Wynette.
"Now there is Palin who's only defect is that she can shoot a 30/30 with a half dollar sized grouping."
Oh, really? From what distance? 10 feet, or, 200 yards?
The possiblity that his hick from the Alaskan sticks could become president, makes me want to pray for Armagedeon, an asteroid strike, or, for Yosemite to errupt with a catastrophic, total inihliatioin volcano. When she appeared with McCain today, she looked like a refugee from the old 1960's "Petticoat Junction" sitcom. Wow, that hair. Takes me back forty-five years.
I would hope that after 8 years of neocon-zionist-"wahabi-little "c"" chistrian destruction to this nation, that it would be enough for most Americans and that they would not dare chance the McCain-Insane ticket.
At least Tammy could sing.
notsure
Oh and McCain left his first wife, guessing you can relate to that too??? giggles you old bent back, blackened toothed, bitter, pill popping bitty of a woman.

You must be my husband's latest girlfriend. giggle
"you" not "yoy" man I still giddy from the VP. Be back soon. Gotta workout then give the boy a bath.
MeLange
Hey, I tell my wife she can "use" me all the time. It's only dirty if yoy have nothing to gain yourself. Remember that lil lady.
fajar154,
Actually bowing to the "choice", excellent strategic political move.
OH, yes I do believe she is a trophy running mate. Also, I don't hold her in the esteem soooo many seem to. She posed for Vogue last year, the article was about fashion...NOT politics. While in college, she was a beauty queen...to ME that speaks volumes!!! No doubt she is an accomplished woman, but if she was a person who shared MY principles...she would NOT allow herself (ie the fact that she is a woman) to be USED for McCain or the parties gain.
DUR DUR DUR DUR! Funny. Guess a lead shot to the face is better than a face full of man juice all over Lewinski. Love Bill.
Shotgun-Close range.
30/30-Long range.
Bill-Priceless.
Still with the hunting accident to a buddy. If it REALLY was a big deal then Cheney would've bumped him off (Joke- that is sarcasm) after.
Better than killing someone you knocked up. Eh Ted?
MeLange
Trophy running mate? I know you don't believe that. She has a very high approval rate (because that is how policies are formed) and she, how can I say this, ROCKS!
I've been hoping that McCain would peal away from the white boys of Washington Pool and pick someone outside the box and he did. The Democrapic Party aren't the only ones who believe that this is an important social election. Admit it, you were surprised!
"she can shoot a 30/30 with a half dollar sized grouping."
That's right, I forgot that Cheney's handy work with a shotgun set the precedence for the qualifications for VP.
No whine tonight ALL CHEEZZZZ.
The_Doctor
Sounds like your doing the cheese and whining 2nite Doc. Palin is the perfect choice for this election. The Dems have tried to corner the market for "Hope and Change" because the American Sheeple have the attention span of a common house fly. Now there is Palin who's only defect is that she can shoot a 30/30 with a half dollar sized grouping. Some will call it a hick or Redneck Woman, I call it first woman prez in 2012!
TEE HEE. Oh happy days.
Liberal Pukes, you're extremely lucky. Apparently the Republicon gods at the Southeast Missourian can over look your racist and demeaning avatars. Meanwhile, I'll probably get banned for posting the Sarah Palin Vogue magazine cover.
Speaking of which, I wonder if Ludwig has had a peek yet?
Obama's running mate & McCains runnig mate.
I would have liked to have seen Claire McCaskill as Obama's running mate. Biden makes me nervous. I think that Obama should always be watching his back, now that he has Biden. If Biden gets near the White House, I think that we could well see a Ronald Reagan scenario. Just my opinion. I have never liked, nor, have I ever trusted Joe Biden.
Pailin? The only better choice that McCain could have made to ensure an Obama win, was Joe Liberman.
When I hear her speak, I just cringe. Sort of reminds me of a brunette, Tammy Wynette.
Doctor... you sho' enuf hot tonight. Po' it on them.
Doc
I find it amusing that you libs first tried to bury Cheney prematurely and now you are trying to do the same with McCain.
I love that Sarah Palin is on the Republican ticket as she has the same truths, principles and beliefs as me.
Me'lange,
Again...exactly my point. You don't HAVE to be a Hillary feminists to TRULY be insulted by the posturing of McCain who just months ago OPPOSED EQUAL PAY FOR WOMEN. What does that say of his principles??? Not only is the man selling out his own ideals, he's compromising everyone elses integrity around him.
(Aka..Palin)
Look at his face during this annoucement. Completely detached. He can't even make eye contact with her. You can see he was either FORCED by the Republican Heirarchy to pick her or After Obama's history making speech realized that he HAD to pick a Pro-Life "little-known" Martha Stewart Female in order to reasonably compete in this election.
"Millers should grow up" Really?
Some readers of the Southeast Missourian find the Millers charming. If I were you, and I didn't want to read the Millers column, just turn the page, or, not click on their delightful column at all. However, if I were you, I would reconsider canceling your subscription to the SEM, just because you don't particularly enjoy one column in the newspaper.
The Southeast Missourian is the most informative source for news and information from around our area, to state, national and world news. Television, in most regards, does a woeful job of informing the citzens as to real news. From national to local, television news, even on the so-called news channels such as FOX, CNN, and even MSNBC have resorted to fluffy, entertaining news, as opposed to real news that can affect our lives.
Many Americans take very little interest in the news. The get their news from bloviants like Rush and Sean Hannity. The Southeast Missourian presents a real opportunity to get the news, to become an informed citizen, an informed voter, and a more interesting person.
Cancel your subscription at your own preil. The auction listings on Wednesday, and the garage sale sections later in the week are more than worth the price of supbscription, even if you don't like great news and sports coverage. Read past the Millers, if that is you desire, but know that others will be enjoying thier wit and comment.
Babe, you said, "Yes, voters do get what we deserve and we deserve McCain and Palin."
No..the VOTERS don't. Infact, according to the last polls only 42% of them (the republicans) get what they want. LOL
Face it Babe, just as I was going to bash ANY pick of McCain's today...you were duly ready to defend WHOMEVER McCain picked....even if it were Lieberman. From what I have read of your previous posts, you have NEVER exemplified the type of conservative persona that would support a "Hockey Mom" as a VP.
You said you were Anti-Abortion, Palin is Pro-life. You are against UHC, Palin introduced a committee in Alaska that is FOR UHC. YOu...are a strong conservative woman. Palin apparently has used her influence as Wasilla Beauty Queen to get what she wants. It's pathetic, and poor JUDGEMENT on McCain's part to play this type of card. To represent Palin as the type of female to step into the Presidential shoes (incase McCain would die) is just bad bad judgement.
Good Grief, I honestly thought YOU of all people BABE would be AGAINST the utilization of a FEMALE pawn in a Boy's Club election. At least Obama had the integrity NOT to do the same to Hillary. Sure, he knew she would help him, but he also knew she didn't want to be second fiddle because she IS a strong woman. Unfortunately, the real loser in this will be Sarah Palin.
Doc,
Let's not get confused, I'm NOT a "TRUE Hillary Feminists". I do NOT even claim to be a "Feminist" (the way most use this term). However, I do have a brain and can see what is taking place.
And IMO...if McCain and Obama were playing a game of chess...Obama just LOST a bishop or rook-very, valuable playing pieces, that CAN win the game.
Me'lange, you said..."AS a woman, I find it demeaning that SHE allowing herself to be used in this way. Sets women back way before the 1960's...IMO!"
Amen, Amen, Amen...This is exactly the same thing I said earlier today. My point of points. TRUE Hillary Feminists will NOT appreciate this.
MeLange
I posted this under another article......
I don't think McCain picked Sarah merely because she might pull in the women vote. Actually, Hillary supporters will loathe her after they learn her credentials. Sarah Palin is an anti-abortionist, life long NRA member (she carries), mother of five children (the oldest headed to deployment in Iraq and the youngest born in April with downs syndrome), a whistle blower in her own party, loves to hunt and fish, a great governor who isn't reluctant to use her veto pen (killed the Bridge to No Where) and a woman who uses her married name.
McCain picked her to shore up his conservative base and I applaud his choice.
MeLange
I'm surprised that you would call Sarah Palin, an accomplished woman in her own right....a token on the ticket. I never expected you to be a woman basher.
She IS pretty hot, though!......Just kidding. :-)
I see what you are saying, and although I disagree, I do understand how you can see it that way.
BTW - I'm outa here for the night, maybe the weekend even. I hope everyone, including you Doctor, has a great Labor Day Weekend. Be safe, don't drink and drive, and remember...that someone, somewhere loves you.
Liberal_Regurgitators,
Problem is, SHE was selected as a a token running mate! It is all about the numbers...McCain's crew knows he has to pull over the Clinton (especially women) voters)...this WAS a strategic political move.
AS a woman, I find it demeaning that SHE allowing herself to be used in this way. Sets women back way before the 1960's...IMO!
She is being used as trophy vice-president running mate...now that is something to be really proud of!
MeLange
Yes, voters do get what we deserve and we deserve McCain and Palin.
You said it, Me'Lange !
Goodness Gracious! Lord have mercy! IF the rest of the Voters focus on the type of "crap" those in this forum have today... it is NO wonder we have stinky leadership! Thus, voters deserve what they get!
Me'Lange,
:-) I can take as well as I give, and I might have to try one of them there mooseburgers myself...haha
As far as the "Token Black Man" comment that was made in response to Stoops Malone's, who had his avatar removed from here, comment about the Republicans token WOMAN.
Point I was trying to make was, what comes around, goes around. Being a woman or being black should be a non-issue, this isn't the 1960's South any more.
Well, I think I've done my job. I think the Clinton's can handle doing the rest of the digging, prodding, and tapping into the Palin "dead space" years. (The time prior to serving as City Council, and the time after LOSING the LT. Governor's Race. Now doubt, she was toking it up relatively heavily while driving between Alaska, and her college in Idaho.
The Palins own and fly a....‘58 PA-18-150.
I have no idea as to what it was, but if you've got the kahunas, Snoops, then put it back up here....hahahahaha.....worried they'll make you take it off again, and then you'll boo hoo about it for another 2 months?
My Goodbody
I am laughing so hard. We pay our county commissioners just as much for a few hours of work a week. And we have a much lower cost of living here than in Alaska.
Hahahahaha....made you flinch.
My avatar? You mean this one?
http://bp2.blogger.com/...
Liberal Regurg said..."Well you could say the Democrats strategically picked their token BLACK MAN. So don't go there. -- Posted by Liberal_Regurgitators on Fri, Aug 29, 2008, 4:12 pm CDT"
Hum...
Democratic V-O-T-E-R-S picked their candidate, as did the Republicans. (Wow...it was pretty easy to use respectful terminology to address the parties.)
McCain (haha...and his party) selected the mooseburger eating, Ms. Beauty Queen, Governor of Alaska, whom I might add doesn't do a thing for me. ~wink~
Note Alaska, according to the US Census, had a total population estimated at 643,786* as of 2002. Plus let's not forget, as of 2000 Census Alaska led the States with the highest male-female ratio (107.0). btw...This figure is much less than I thought it was.
Sorry Lib Regir...HAD to go there!
"Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd Palin have been married twenty years. He is an oil production worker and a champion snowmobile racer. "
"She is a lifelong member of the NRA and carries a firearm. She hunts and fishes."
WOW.... All of which make Sarah qualified to be the Vice President of the US, and our first woman President when McCain has a stroke,or, croaks in office.
When the DOCTOR reported here that little miss Sarah is under investigation for trying to get her former brother-in-law fired from the Alaskan State Troopers, I think that we have a real inside glimpse as to what kind of person miss Sarah really is. Wahabi little "c" fundamentalists have had too much sway in this nation already. They align themselves with Israel and they are responsible for the war against the Iraqi and Afghani people, and the death and maiming of our troops.
Miss Sarah and the Wahabi's actually in the Whitehouse, is a very scary proposition for all of us.
Thank you, Doctor, for the information on her salary. Wonder if the job as Mayor in that little poedunk town is still open? We have millions of Americans out of work and most of them are more qualified than she was.
Ouch, intelligent comeback. But guess what? I've still got MY avatar...where's yours?.....Snoops....hahahahaha. You male chauvinist, you.
Mac
I didn't know Sarah Palin's husband is bi-racial. It just gets better and better.
scares me? Funny...Limbaugh and Hannity were touting the same thing today as they stammered for words. I'll admit...Had McCain picked Huckabee, or even Lieberman...I would have been "slightly" concerned. But Hockey Mom Palin?? Nooo...I'm just rubbing it in, and enjoying it.
Funny...all the news media are using the wording...Palin TAPPED. LOL
Babe,
Oh yes...good point. I like How she consider $120,000 per year a blue-collar, in-the-field type job. That will go right along with McCain's statement of the Middle-Class making somewhere under $5,000,000.
Meanwhile, the median household income is $60,445, and the average household income is $72,886
Don't believe me? Here's the source. http://www.schoolfolks.com/...
So if he was making $120,000 per year, and she was making $64,500 as Mayor in the town of poedunk, they were doing pretty good. But...wait..She was making $81,648 as Governor. Wow! Even more incredible that her salary as mayor in poedunk was just 15,000 less than the entire state. Either way...they were making DOUBLE what the rest of Blue Collar Alaska was making.
Doc
Sarah Palin really scares you, it seems. Most liberals are afraid of strong conservative women. giggle
Liberal_Regurgitators or Pukes or whoever. You've been nailing Obama for how many months now??? Racist statements, Racists Avatars...Come now....If I'm a 5-year old, then you must still be wetting your diapers and being fed by momma. Do you want your binky?
An example of Sarah Palin's budget cutting and executive decision making.
During her tenure as Mayor, she cut the Wasilla police department budget in half. How? By reducing the department from two police officers to one. After this excruciating decision she went acrossed the street to enjoy a moose burger, get a peticure (while enving her self on the cover of vogue magazine), then went straight home, kick off her shoes, and baked some brownies in the kitchen...after realizing she was pregnant, again.
You too! Be safe, don't drink and drive, and have FUN !
Not a rant of a 5 year old, but arguing with a 5 year old. He needs to take this a little less personal.
LP,
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!
It's ok Pups, just think..it will get better in just a little few more minutes.......three day weekend! Woo Hooooo!
Babe,
You just summed up my whole point as to why the whole "no experience" arguement from the RNC makes no sense. And you can throw GW into that as well. He was only a Gov.
See sometimes you can actually make sense.
Why is it concidered a rant of a 5 year old when Doc posts, but when Little_Mac, Herr, Opinion, LP and others post a tirade , it is concidered stateing facts??? Oh sorry, I shouldn't be thinking again.
Ok, going to go enjoy my last few hours of work and then start on the 3 day weekend. Everyone be safe.
Doc
You are correct about Todd Palin and his employment. I liked this quote from Sarah from your link.
"A conflict could be perceived if my spouse's position was in a management position with an oil company. But, because it's a blue-collar, in-the-field type job, working in a facility as a production operator, separating the oil, the gas and water; it's not a management position where decision are being made for the future of investment with this oil company in Alaska. So, it hasn't been perceived, on our part anyway, as a conflict of interest," Gov. Palin said.
Pups
Now now, Bill Clinton had nothing but a gubernatorial seat when he was elected to President . giggle
PS I'd like to apologize to all 5 year old kids who may happen to be reading my last post. I wasn't trying to insult you all.
So Doctor, what's your point in all this hysterical ranting? This is like talking to a 5 year old kid.
Little Mac,
Not sure your last post keeps you in the 14th level. Just thought I would point that out. LOL
Have a great three day weekend btw.
The Messiah arose from one the the most corrupt political machines in the country.
------------------------------------------------------
The Messiah's friend, the friend that just so happened to help finance his house, Tony Rezko was convicted of corrupting state government.
1995 - When Obama launches his bid for the Illinois Senate, Rezko is his first substantial contributor. In subsequent years, Rezko will help bankroll Obama’s campaigns.
Obama disclosed that Rezko had raised more for Obama’s earlier political campaigns than previously known, gathering as much as $250,000 total for the first three offices he sought. But Obama says he doesn’t know how many fundraisers Rezko held for him during those state campaigns
2003 - "Rezko also is on the finance committee for Obama’s 2004 U.S. Senate run."
2005 - JAN. — Obama is sworn in to the U.S. Senate. Bolstered by payments for his best-selling autobiography and advances for future books, the Obamas’ combined income topped $1.67 million. They go home-shopping and are drawn to a 96-year-old, South Side Georgian revival home with four fireplaces, glass-door bookcases fashioned from Honduran mahogany and a wine cellar with space for 1,000 bottles. The house and the adjoining yard had been owned as a single property. But now the owners are listing them separately, asking $1.95 million for the house and $625,000 for the garden lot.
Obama disclosed in the March interview that someone else already had an option to buy the garden lot. But he said Rezko took over that option after Rezko learned Obama was bidding for the house. Obama said he knew next to nothing about those transactions and does not recall when he learned that Rezko was interested in buying the side lot—or even how Rezko learned it was for sale. But they talked about the upcoming sales
“He said, ‘I might be interested,’.” Obama recalled. “My response was, ‘Well, that would be fine.’.” Obama added: “This is an area where I can see a lapse in judgment.”
-----------------------------------------------------
The Messiah is buddies with known terrorist William Ayers:
"The University of Illinois Chicago records showed that Ayers was instrumental in securing the $50 million education grant to reform Chicago Public Schools, part of a national initiative funded by the late Ambassador Walter Annenberg. . After Chicago was awarded the money, Obama served as president of the Challenge’s board of directors, the fiscal arm that disbursed the grants to schools and raised private matching funds. Ayers participated in a second entity known as the Chicago School Reform Collaborative, the operational arm that worked with the grant recipients."
But what do I know? I'm just an angry small town, gun toting, clinging to my bible, typical white guy.
Doc,
With all due respect I am not buying it.
Hey, all! It's me, Little_Mac. Had to re-register for some reason - my original account wouldn't work anymore.
Just a few minutes and some thoughts before I pop smoke for a long (finally!) weekend...
Ah, here we go - let the half-truths and innuendo begin. I.e.:
The Life of Sarah Palin:
Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, City Council from 1992 to 1996, was elected mayor of Wasilla (population 5,470 in 2000) in 1996.
*** Well, you gotta start somewhere. And do not forget, she is also GOVERNOR of Alaska. That's two executive level positions to BO's, what, zero? Oh, wait, I forgot - he was a "community organizer" before he did a term in the Illinois Senate and two years as a US Senator - most of which he has spent running for POTUS! Most Boy Scouts are capable of being "community organizers". My Son for PREZ! (he meets THAT requirement...)
She admits that she used marijuana when it was legal in Alaska, but says that she did not like it.
*** It was legal then, right? As opposed to the First Black Prez who, as I recall, smoked it at a time and in a place where it was illegal, using the excuse, "...I didn't inhale...", then went on to lie under oath to a Federal Grand Jury - isn't that still a FELONY...?
Husband works for BP Oil
*** TELL THE WHOLE TRUTH! I quote from AP:
"Her husband, Todd Palin, is part Yup'ik Eskimo, and is a blue-collar North Slope oil worker who competes in the Iron Dog, a 1,900-mile snowmobile race." Sorry, he's not an evil BP Exec as you tried to make people think by your post of a partial fact. He works in the oil fields as a roughneck. Seems they have middle class roots. As opposed to Sen Biden...isn't he from a rather wealthy family? Oh, sorry - it's only OK to be wealthy if you're a Democrat; if you're a rich Conservative, that's not fair.
Currently under investigation by the Alaskan Republican Legislature for abuse of power.
*** I'm sure she is! She was pretty anti-establishment! I imagine she made a good number of politicians angry.
In 1984, after winning the Miss Wasilla contest earlier that year, Palin finished second in the Miss Alaska beauty pageant which won her a scholarship to help pay her way through college. In the Wasilla pageant, she played the flute and also won Miss Congeniality.
*** And this is relevant exactly how? Oh, you're upset because she's cuter, more athletic, and younger than Sen Biden (and probably smarter, too), so you make a big deal out of this. I note she did it to help pay her way through college; I guess she needed the money since, apparenty, she did not have rich parents like BO or Sen Biden.
Yeah...Pro-Choice Hillary Clinton feminists are going to run screaming to the Martha Stewart "Hockey Mom" yuppy.
*** Well, BO had an opportunity to put a woman in the Number 2 slot, and he balked. I would have though such progressive thinkers as BO et al would have put a woman in the Veep position. Add the feelings of disenfranchisement among many moderate lib gals who are angry their candidate (Sen Clinton) is not on the ticket. I would not overlook the possible repercussions... Geez, too bad BO isn't a conservative - then we could call him a sexist!
McCain/Palin: Don't no much about economics!
*** We'll see. Usually, the economy does best if guvment keeps its nose out of it. Besides, I think it's important if the Prez and the Veep know the difference between a brigade and a battalion...and from some recent speeches, I'm not sure the Dems do. I'm also not convinced he is that economically inept anyway.
Our Plan: Drill oil, solve all the world's problems!
*** And YOUR plan, or better, BO's plan. Oh. wait, I'm sorry, we do know BO's plan: Talk to the bad guys, make nice and, oh yes, CHANGE, CHANGE, CHANGE. No word yet one WHAT we are going to change TO!
Okay, that was fun - I'm outta here for the weekend!
Do not forget: The universe is always safer if you bring your towel! Enjoy the weekend and if you travel, for God's sake BE CAREFUL!
Mac heading 180 mark 0, WF8...Engage!!!!
Aww...I found it. Palin's "liberal" imperfection.
http://www.ktuu.com/...
Good grief Doc, you are going to blow a blood vessel.
-- Posted by Red_Rhino on Fri, Aug 29, 2008, 4:25 pm CDT
Blow a blood vessel? Not on this one. Bust a gut laughing...most definately.
LP and Opinion,
Just a question and not meant to start a debate. Again just a question.
You have mentioned that Obama has no experience. And that has been pretty much the battle cry of the RNC and McCain's campaign. Now, they have chosen a person with even less experience with the chance (slight, since they said the same about Chaney and he's still kick'n) McCain could die in office. Making a person with no experience President. So does this negate the 'no experience' arguement from the RNC and the McCain Campaign? Or are we to assume (I know what that means) that she will gain experience while in office so it negates her lack there of?
I will be happy with a yes or no answer to the questions btw.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A decision by Alaska's first family is raising concerns about a possible conflict of interest involving Gov. Sarah Palin and the oil industry.
The governor's husband, Todd Palin, is back on BP's payroll. Gov. Palin says his return will not influence her decisions involving the oil industry, but one former lawmaker who wrote an ethics guideline for the administration believes it's a bad move at the wrong time.
A few weeks after Gov. Palin was elected, Todd Palin took an unpaid leave of absence from his job as a North Slope oil field production operator.
But, the state's first husband recently returned to BP's payroll.
http://www.ktuu.com/...
Good grief Doc, you are going to blow a blood vessel.
Babe, you are INCORRECT! Todd Palin STILL works with BP on the North Slope.
Did you know every Alaskan resident received a royalty check for oil extracted from their state?
http://www.iht.com/...
"Nearly every Alaskan will soon receive a check for $1,654 (€1,183), their share of the state's oil riches, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin announced."
Compare that to Missouri. Does'nt mean much of anything.
Who cares how much she made.
Additionally, Alaska is a PRO-LIFE state. She didn't do anything to change that.
Todd Palin has no college degree. He worked twenty years with British Petroleum as a blue-collar hourly worker making $100,000 to $120,000. He resigned in 2007 to avoid a conflict of interest as his wife was negotiating with that company. They also decided he would stay home with their family. He is an avid snowmobiler and has won multiple races in the grueling 'Iron Dog' race. I like him, too.
Here's another tidbit for you. McCain has only met Palin twice, hardly knows her...Hmmm John "the Maverick" McCain's decision? Or The Republican Heirarchy "puppeteering" McCain?
Compare it to LA SWBG. That will put Wasilla aka..Oran into perspective for you.
Well you could say the Democrats strategically picked their token BLACK MAN. So don't go there.
doc,
found this for you
The average teacher salary in Alaska for the 2004-05 school year was $52467.
The average teacher salary in Missouri for the 2004-05 school year was $39064.
So what if the town pays its Mayor a lot of money. Maybe all municipalities in Alaska do that. Salaries are higher, the cost of living is higher, and housing is often subsidized. I know this much. When I was in Alaska the cost of beer was significantly higher.
Doctor, take a chill pill, you're going to have a coronary.
Babe!
I'm calling you out. In the other forum you said, "Sarah Palin is an anti-abortionist, life long NRA member (and She Carries)"
First of, Palin DOES NOT classify herself as an Anti-Abortionist. She classifies herself as PRO-LIFE
Second, THOUSANDS of women are LIFETIME NRA MEMBERS and THOUSANDS of them Carry
Additionally, you said, "McCain picked her to shore up his conservative base and I applaud his choice." No doubt these were SOME of his reasons, but let's be honest...McCain Strategically picked a WOMAN.
test...test...
You don't often see governors leaning on a Harley in publicity photos.
And when is the last time you saw a govenror wearing a fur?
How many vice president candidates have ever started a dog-race?
In 2007, she visited Kuwait.
Hasn't Martha Stewart done all of this? Or Maybe it was Oprah?
I'm sure June Clever was just as tough a cookie...baker. LOL
You know WHY the Mayor makes that much for a poe dunk town in Alaska? Because the OIL companies are paying for it! Not only that, Citizens of Alaska get up to $2500 from the OIL companies just to drill there!
ALSO, I just looked up housing in Alaska a nice Duplex there is $925 dollars. A nice Duplex in Cape Girardeau will run you $800. Not that much difference! And how much does our Mayor make??? ZERO!
SWBG
I know ALL about Alaska, but let me ask you this...and you damn well be honest!!!! What would you say if the Mayor of Oran asked for a $64,000 salary Or Maybe even the mayor of Cape? A town of less than 10,000 doesn't need to be paying a Mayor that much money, and you know damn well that to be the truth!!! The Mayor of LA makes $158,000. The cost of living is STILL more than Alaska, AND he has 100 times the population.
Get real!!!
SWBG and GREYWOLF: Whiskey and Gunpowder has an article on oil that you both might be interested in. http://www.whiskeyandgunpowder.com/... Let us even make it worse for Western Oil Companies, tax the heck out of them.
Not in the article but; The West has a few problems, they are starting to make angry the bear, the largest producer of energy in the world.
SWBG
Sarah Palin not only eats moose burgers...she kills the moose. Rumor has it that she can field dress a deer in record time. LOL
doc,
ever been to Alaska?
Cost of living is significantly different than southeast missouri.
everyone makes more in Alaska.
Actually married that kind of woman, she shoots them too.
GREYWOLF,
You're right. She very hot and sexy. I certainly like objectifying her body. This is exactly what this country needs. One President, and two First Ladies. Maybe he'll volunteer her for a couple of Motorcycle gang wet T-shirt contests. LOL
Me too, sounds like my kind of woman.
Doc
I guess the town can pay what they wish. After all, our county commish make about as much for a few hours a week of taking care of business. giggle
any woman who eats a moose burger might just get my vote.
Babe, you said, "Palin had upset the status quo by voting against a pay raise for the mayor"
I would hope so! $68,000 for being Mayor in a town of LESS than 10,000 quite enough isn't it? LOL What a joke!
***LAUGHING TO THE POINT OF TEARS***
MSNBC Highlights the keypoints that Palin will bring to the McCain Campaign.
*Likes to eat Mooseburgers
*Served Two terms on City Council
Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd Palin (she uses her married name) eloped and married in a civil ceremony. They went to a nursing home and brought two resident's as witnesses. They have been married twenty years. They began their family after he got a blue-collar job with British Petroleum.
GreyWolf
Sarah Palin has former 'beauty queen' in her resume. giggle
Sarah Palin....
"After taking office, Sarah was dumbfounded by the inner workings of the city government. "Right away I saw that it was a good old boys network," she said. "Mayor Stein and [Councilman] Nick Carney told me, 'You'll learn quick, just listen to us.' Well, they didn't know how I was wired."
Within weeks, Palin had upset the status quo by voting against a pay raise for the mayor and an exclusive city-wide garbage pickup contract with Carney's company. But during her second term, she became convinced that she needed to throw the good-old-boy network out entirely -- so she decided to run for mayor herself in 1996, and she whipped the long-time incumbent handily.
As mayor, Palin took a voluntary pay cut from $68,000 to $64,200, cut real property taxes and eliminated taxes on personal property and business inventory, and sponsored a $5.5 million road and sewer bond to promote new commercial development. In 1999, Stein ran against her again, but she whipped him by an even larger margin than the first time. By then, she was attracting state-wide attention, which resulted in her being elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors.
She has been a change agent. Sarah Palin supports moving the Legislative sessions out of Juneau -- the state Capital -- on occasion. Juneau is darn hard for most of the state's population to get to, so Palin suggested they take the government to the people.
You will occasionally see photos of her sitting in her office with a big grizzly bear draped across her couch. The bear was reportedly shot by her father.
You don't often see governors leaning on a Harley in publicity photos.
And when is the last time you saw a govenror wearing a fur?
How many vice president candidates have ever started a dog-race?
In 2007, she visited Kuwait.
Here is a picture of Palin when she was a high school basketball point guard. She is No. 22. She was known as "Sarah Barracuda."
Come on ya'l,leave Sarah alone!
At least she is real easy on the eyes.
I mean Obama looks like one of my kids old
stuffed animals and Mcain looks like A sighted
Mr.Magoo,and I havn't quite figured out what
Biden reminds me of.I sure do enjoy all this rhetoric
though.Everyone sure seems passionate about there political beliefs.I think thats healthy.Just make sure everyone votes.
Sarah Palin did raise Alaska's taxes on oil companies. Raising taxes fits well into Republican politics these days.
Babe,
Exactly.
In two short years, Sarah Palin moved from small-town mayor with a taste for mooseburgers to the governor's office and now — making history
Hmmm kind like that unknown actress that get's the lead role in a Spielberg film. Hmmmm....Hmmm...I wonder who she.... LOL
allamerican
I'm thrilled with the vp pick because she is a strong woman in her own right.
As a former Commissioner I've dealt with these issues before," Palin said. "I know that now is the time to work in partnership with oil companies."
Former Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission Chairman, Sarah Palin, responded to yesterday's announcement that BP was shutting down Prudhoe Bay operations because of a spill caused by corroded pipe.
"The state regulates the North Slope, and when there are accidents, we are partially responsible," Palin said. "Oil companies and Alaskans are in this boat together."
****In a snub to the oil majors, she has proposed TransCanada Corp., a Calgary energy company, be given the primary contract to lead the $30 billion job to build a natural-gas pipeline from Alaska's North Slope. Governor Palin's husband; Todd, works for BP energy corporation at an oil field on Alaska's North Slope
****
Todd works for BP energy corporation at an oil field on Alaska's North Slope
The Wasilla mayor was a full-time, $68,000-a-year job. For a town of less than 10,000 people?? LOL
Now, one of the bright new stars in the Republican Party has suddenly become tarnished. The state legislature this week voted to hire an independent investigator to see whether Ms. Palin abused her office by trying to get her former brother-in-law fired from his job as an Alaska state trooper.
And that's the easily accessed information. Can't wait for her October Surprise! LOL
Noun 1. racist - a person with a prejudiced belief that one race is superior to others
silent bob,
i don't know if Obama secretly holds such beliefs or not. i don't know if you hold such beliefs or not. i have not heard anything or any person say that they have heard BO say anything to suggest he is a racist. He has been affiliated with someone who speaks in an inflamatory manner regarding race. if you choose to hold that as to be your own truth so be it. i guess i do not understand your logic to banter that around. if you disagree with his politics fine. if you disagee with his experience to lead fine.
on another subject Sarah Palin appears competent however she has little experience (less than BO) and could be the VP of a president who does not look to be the picture of health. Something to think about. I will have to read more on her to express an informed opinion.
Theorist,
Yes, that is how you come across to me; my interpretation and perhaps I am mistaken.
Where to start; first I would never try to change your opinion on something like this as it would be futile. I might try to change that of someone whose opinion was ill formed or the result of faulty information. We just disagree, not because one of is “wrong”, we just view things differently and have different priorities, life experiences or whatever goes into forming one’s opinion.
Personally, I am more concerned with “actions” and not “feelings”. If someone does the right thing, I really could not care less whether it is because those “actions” are “colored” by life experiences or not. For much of my professional career, it was felt that “recovering” addicts made the best substance abuse counselors, but that has not necessarily proven true and agencies that would once only hire recovering addicts have changed their policies. You cannot place too much emphasis on any one thing such as being an addict or having experienced poverty or having to pump your own gas or the myriad other things some people seem so hung up on. It is my opinion that you must look at the person and their capabilities however they came by them.
Sorry for the length of this post, brevity is not one of my strengths.
Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd Palin have been married twenty years. He is an oil production worker and a champion snowmobile racer.
She is a lifelong member of the NRA and carries a firearm. She hunts and fishes.
Great pick for VP. I feel much better about voting for McCain.
I read the Arkansas shoe store joke and can't resist adding my own.
After much study it has been determined that if Arkansas annexed the bootheel of Missouri it would raise the IQ of both states considerably.
Oh, geeze! I've been contemplating how I can best articulate the revelation conveyed upon me from "on low" by His "Hi(ndend)ness", the "Ointmented One", Child-citizen of the World, B.O.! But my reflections have been temporarily OBE'd by watching the announcement of the command team of Old White Fighter Jock and his new Vice CC in Chief, Sarah Palin!! Wow!
I think I'm in love...wait...quick, belay that...make it "in like...a lot"!!! If Mule found out about the love thing, I'd for sure end up missing some key body parts.
2x big-time Wow! McCain/Palin just pulled off a classic La manoeuvre sur les derrieres on the B.O....or, as G.S. Patton might say: "Grab 'em by the nose and kick 'em in the, er, pants"!!! And it should not escape mention that they mangaged to concurrently honor Geraldine Ferraro (sp? she's long been history) and the Hilderbeast in the process. Nice touch, if not slam-dunk!!
I've been hearing lately that, besides being ordained as a messianic foreign policy guru, the B.O. has also been identified as the Grand Kommandant, who can single-handedly replace the entire Joint Chiefs of Staff. Therefore, The One no doubt has probably already even considered a Stalinesque purging of all the generals; however, that dream may not come to pass.
At least we may be spared a national trauma, as Hitlery can stand down her snipers and/or covert underminers, as the marxian anti-Christ wannabe will probably fall from Grace by his own arrogance!
FYI my child isn't a baby...he is very much used to being outside working in 95+ degree weather. I pay my real estate taxes - which most goes to the school district. The district has the funds to pay for the cooling of the buildings, and they should be doing so. I'm sure the A/C in the board office and the teacher's lounge is set cooler than the 80 degrees in the classrooms.
Lord love a duck....the filters won't allow the word p e e but commercials can say it on national tv. giggle
I wonder if McCain will pay Council Lady Hockey Mom the regular VP pay?
http://www.foxnews.com/...
It's apparent while picking a female candidate that he did so PURELY to compete for the Clinton Feminists. Unfortunately, they won't appreciate his past actions.
http://www.eyesonobama.com/...
Yes, it appears McCain has picked a Martha Stewart, Bare-foot and pregnant, Hockey Mother.
Palin, knowing she has been used by the Republican party, has in (24 hours) set the women's movement back 50 years. Congratulations, Where do the Clinton Pro-Choice feminists sign up?
It wouldn't make any difference who McCain picked for VP, those who oppose him would always find something wrong with his selection. I don't know much about Palin, but it is kind of refreshing that he picked someone other than "the usual suspects", whether she is the right one remains to be seen.
We have had some pretty pathetic vice presidents in the past and it did not keep someone from getting elected; maybe it should have, but it didn't.
innuendo in commercials
I agree. More and more commercials are becoming raunchy. The one that annoys me the most is the one for pregnancy test saying it's the best thing you'll ever *** on.
Red,
For some reason, you think I am coming across as "I have all the answers". I don't, and am merely expressing my opinions and why I feel that way. If you disagree, I will probably ask why, and may try to change your mind. I will also listen with respect and read what you have to say. Having said that....
I believe you are "who you are" from the experiences and the life you have had. Education will also influence you and, of course, your willingness to listen. If you have never experienced pain, you may still have empathy, but it will not be colored the same as someone who has. This is what I am saying, if you disagree, I will listen. This to me, is not really a debatable point or concept, but, again, I certainly don't have all the answers.
Beg to differ?
Babe: She will help the ticket. The Republicans had to choose a Reublican to run with their selected Democrat.
Sarah Palin has five children. The eldest is readying for deployment in Iraq. The youngest, born in April, has downs syndrome.
"Governor Murkowski appointed Palin Ethics Commissioner of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission,[8] where she served from 2003 to 2004 until resigning in protest over what she called the "lack of ethics" of fellow Alaskan Republican leaders, who ignored her whistleblowing complaints of legal violations and conflicts of interest.[4] After she resigned, she exposed the state Republican Party's chairman, Randy Ruedrich, one of her fellow Oil & Gas commissioners, who was accused of doing work for the party on public time, and supplying a lobbyist with a sensitive e-mail.[9] Palin filed formal complaints against both Ruedrich and former Alaska Attorney General Gregg Renkes, who both resigned; Ruedrich paid a record $12,000 fine.[4]"
I don't think she is in anyone's pocket. giggle
Palin pick: surprising
meaning for Democrats: little
McCain needs Michigan & Pennsylvania to win. If he's trying to snare Hillary converts I don't see them going for Palin. Biden should boost Obama in the rust belt; Alaska is pretty much already in the hand of (R).
And I agree it negates some of his "experience" advantage and the ties to corruption & oil can't help him.
ARM Loans: The name says it all...did you not realize that rates fluctuate.....duh.
Bob and Callie's Column: I like this column, it's not newsy per se, but very funny. If you don't like it, skip over it. P.O.O.P. and periods are part of life.
Jackson Middle School: We never had AC when I was in school, and guess what, we didn't die.
One last thing, have we EVER in recent history elected a President who actually knew or remembered what it was like to be middle class and worry about bills, etc.
Babe, I'll give it too you. You called it. But...wow...some *giggle* victory. I'm glad you got her.
THis is a definate swing for the fense desperation move on McCain.
Experience fight: out the door
In the palm of big oil: solidified
Won't win in November: Definately
This is a bigger joke than McCain/Lieberman. I'm sure the Clinton's will make Palin's life a living hell. It will be interesting to figure out what she did prior to being Mrs. Congeniality and a city council lady. LOL
Finally! a Vice Presidential candidate that has smoked some pot and looked good doing it!Happy days are here again!
Doc
How do you like your crow cooked? I called it for Sarah last night. giggle
OK
ONE MORE,
Ike what kind of thinking are you referring to Realistic? Reasonable?
