There's a different feel in and near downtown Cape Girardeau these days.

A certain bustle that coincides with the start of the university's fall semester. More cars. More foot traffic. More people.

By now students have had a chance to see their first football game of the year, had a chance to get a feel for the university and the city.

Southeast students have become part of the fabric that make Cape Girardeau.
