Humane treatment

Please do not blame the people at the Humane Society for the euthanizing of the animals there. There is gross overpopulation of animals, and there always has been. Too many puppy mills, pet shops, irresponsible owners, people let their animals reproduce at will. Every pet should be spayed or neutered. Every one. It should be mandatory when you buy or get a pet. Death is not the worst thing. It's really not. Some of those animals are cruelly treated, hurt, hit by cars, starving, abandoned, open to disease and suffering, killed by shooting, drowning, etc. That is why it's the "Humane" Society — so these poor unwanted animals can have a dignified end even if their lives were not that way. Go volunteer to be with these animals and you will get a different view of what is going on there and why it is necessary to euthanize, but even more, to spay and neuter your pets.

No comparison

Sarah Palin, you're no Margaret Thatcher.

Babe on the ticket

Rush Limbaugh has become so cynical and sarcastic I can no longer tell if he's being serious. Does he support McCain's pick for vice president or not? He sounded enthused but at one point, referring to Sarah Palin, said "All right, we've got a babe on the ticket!" I don't have a problem with it, but I know that such descriptive language will in the eyes of many voters diminish their opinion of her, whether it's justified or not. I also am sure that Rush Limbaugh realizes how wrongfully many voters might stereotype "babes" and knows that could cost her votes. I guess what I'm saying is that if Rush is really serious in his support of Sarah Palin he should be more careful in his choice of words, a request whose chances of being met are zero, considering the impulsive nature of the verbiage spilling from the motor mouth of Maharishi Rushi.

A psychic?

The degree of insight Senator McCain has is almost beyond belief. He was able to know that Sarah Palin was the right choice for vice president by talking to her only one time, and that was on the telephone. That is amazing, folks. In his ability to judge a potential president of the United States, McCain just may be psychic.

License plate issues

Once again, I traveled behind a large truck, this time a dump truck, on a two-lane road. I was behind this truck for over 15 miles on a curvy, hilly road, and the entire time the truck was at least half of the way over the center line. Had someone come around the curve, they would have been hit by the truck and injured, maybe even killed. I called the highway patrol and the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department. Both offices asked for the license number of the truck. The problem is that because large trucks don't have to have a rear license plate, I wasn't able to provide one. I want to know why I have to have two license plates on my car, but trucks above a certain weight capacity do not. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed by our state legislature, and I'm hoping somebody reading this can respond with some information about getting this matter addressed. Thank you.

Underestimating women

The idea that women are going to vote for John McCain just because he picked a woman for vice president is a breathtaking underestimation of the wisdom of female voters.

Bad implication

I wish columnist Cal Thomas would quit implying that supporters of Barack Obama are godless. It's not true and a terrible way to try to cajole and intimidate people into abandoning Barack's bandwagon.

Thanks to Jackson officers

I want to thank Jackson Police Department for its help with the traffic issues out at South Elementary School in the afternoon. I would like to see some help in the morning also. It is not an easy place to turn left. One day something really bad is going to happen there.

Decision-making ability

I think the voters of this country need to think long and hard before they vote for McCain in the upcoming presidential election. In the event that something should happen to McCain, if elected, do you think an inexperienced, first term, former beauty queen can really make solid decisions regarding foreign relations and balancing the economy?

Palin argument doesn't wash

I love John McCain but wonder about the hype surrounding VP candidate Sarah Palin. I don't buy it, but if it's true — as Republican pundits keep telling us — that her experience as governor of Alaska trumps that of Barack Obama and Joe Biden in the Senate, then doesn't it trump John McCain's in the Senate also — so shouldn't the ticket be Palin — McCain rather than the other way around? McCain has better arguments — but the 'Palin has experience' argument just doesn't wash.

A crackdown on dog doo

I LIVE here in Cape Girardeau and I am appalled at the people that walk their dogs on a leash and let it mess up somebody's yard. When they try to mow the yard, there's a mess that you can't avoid stepping in. I think that it's nasty. I think there should be a little more of a crackdown.

Early lunch at school

I'M CALLING about the student at Jackson High School. Yes, 10:30 lunch is pretty ridiculous. I imagine by the time you get home in the afternoon, you're starving. There's got to be some way they can change that. 10:30 in the morning is just too early to eat lunch and expect these children to finish out their day with nothing else to eat. I would also like to bring up the fact that when you have a full-time job, you are given a half-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks by law. Shouldn't we be doing the same for the children?

Aren't there laws?

ABOUT THE professor on the news last night on channel 12, how can a professor at Southeast Missouri State University be on the news campaigning for a political candidate? I thought it was against state policy that employees could not openly campaign for candidates. I think he should be fired.

TSO not coming to Cape

I JUST checked the concert schedule for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and see once again they're not stopping in Cape Girardeau. Would please, please somebody pull some strings and get them to make an appearance? I think the mayor should get involved and call some favors in. Christmas just isn't the same without them.

Slap in the face

JOHN MCCAIN had two great Republicans to choose from for vice president, both with impeccable records. Choosing Sarah Palin was a slap in their face and puts America in jeopardy.

No experience

I SEE where there's a lot made about a vice president been chosen that had no foreign policy experience. That is against a presidential nominee who has no foreign policy experience. I don't really understand which is worse, a vice president with no foreign policy experience or a president with no foreign policy experience. That's kind of puzzling.

Allowance? Heck this calls for a grounding from at least a couple of her homes. Not that he would know about them.

Gman out. Early morning trip to the PGA tournament in St. Louis.

Night Folks, last day to prepare for the SEMO FAIR, I'm out for the night.

Poor Cindy. We'll...she'll just have to take away his allowance. LOL!

gman said, "We are suppose to allow him to "earn" our trust?"

Didn't he have 30 years to do that? LOL

Doctor

The "health" reason sure won't be him throwing his back out in bed. After watching the man not show ANY affection up on stage to his wife I bet the sheets are not on fire tonight. LOL.

-- Posted by gman on Fri, Sep 5, 2008, 12:08 am CDT

Ah yes I remember the Saddlebrook debates. Isn't this the one that had Obama go first and Mccain in a "cone of silence". But come to find out Mccain's communications director says that Mccain was in his motorcade on his way over, and once there went to the green room. Of course no mention of anyone relaying info to him while he was in the "cone of silence".

I thought ole Mccain shot his mounth off about "getting questions on supreme court judges" and other gaffs. We are suppose to allow him to "earn" our trust?

-- Posted by gman on Fri, Sep 5, 2008, 12:02 am CDT

gman, you said, "I stand by the 6:41 post I did this morning. She has outshined him and I believe he will have a sit down with someone. After this meeting he will have to step aside for "health" reasons."

BINGO! I was thinking the same damn thing! LOL OMG, wouldn't that be some news!

(Aka...when I mentioned McCain looking old and tired, and not making it to the end of the campaign.)

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Fri, Sep 5, 2008, 12:00 am CDT

Depending on what crowd they are speaking to, aren't the foreign policies of McCain and Obama similar? Both have neo-conservative advisors on foreign policy.

There is no money to expand government any faster than it has growen in the past 8 years. Only FD Roosevelt has growen government faster than George Bush. There were arguments about GW's expansion of entitlements. To set the record fairly straight, most of the increases of those entitlements will come to frutation after GW leaves office. The Democratic Congress should have but didn't stop that runaway spending in its tracks. Only under LB Johnson has entitlements grown as fast as they have under GW when he had a Republican Congress.

If you watched the Saddlebrook debates, you would know that McCain said that the five million was a joke. Now the joke is on you.

-- Posted by BABE on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:38 pm CDT

Oh yes, funny how McCain always uses that line when he puts his foot in his mouth Babe. Sorry, the jokes on you. What? No comment about Palin raising $10,000,000 for Obama in less than 23 hours??

Or about McCain and Habeas Corpus?

Or why you didn't support McCain in 2000?

or the Keating Five and McCain criticized as having "poor judgement."

and most importantly, how Palin has stolen the show from McCain?

I've delivered the punchlines Babe. Do you get the "JOKES" (Palin/McCain) or did it go over your head?

The_Doctor

I stand by the 6:41 post I did this morning. She has outshined him and I believe he will have a sit down with someone. After this meeting he will have to step aside for "health" reasons.

This theory is just that...a theory. On the other hand, Palin has to survive the media asking some very hard questions in the coming days about trooper gate, ethics issues, Enquire magazine accusation that Mccains campaign is wanting to go away, etc. Kinda like John Edwards tried to do. Of course that is if they let her.

Here is some food for thought. As a NRA member I am very much in favor of ones right to self defense. I am getting so dang tired of hearing about how the republicans are so pro gun. Well after Katrina happened the police where rounding up law abiding citizens guns from their homes. Where was Bush? Where was Mccain? Don't recall hearing anything from them even to this day. So republicans controlled both the executive AND both houses in congress and still it happened.

Also a great read in Smart Money which is a Wall Street Magazine. In the September edition on page 54, Roger Lowenstein lays out the Obama and Mccain tax policies. Very in depth reading. According to the article Mccains tax cuts would ADD $4.3 trillion to the national debt over 10 years. Obamas would add $3.3 trillion over the same time frame.

In addition anyone making over $1 million would pay $58,000 less under Mccain in taxes. Were Obama's plan would have you paying $247,000 more.

Just more food for thought.

Doctor: I think that it was Infowarrior, a poster that I admire, said that with my position on Israel, an uninformed person might call me anti-Semite, not literal, but close. An uninformed person might think that Semite only relates to those who speak Hebrew but it also includes Arabic and some other languages spoken in the region. In any case, I have no problems with the decendants of Abraham, no matter what language they speak.

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:40 pm CDT

Bethie, well considering McCain sided "with" Bush 90% of the time, McCain's not really different. Ten percent isn't enough for me. McCain has admitted he is not well educated on economics, fine...but then he picks a VP that has NO economic experience either.

I hate to post this again, but Bethie needs to read it.

PALIN: "I have protected the taxpayers by vetoing wasteful spending ... and championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. I told the Congress 'thanks but no thanks' for that Bridge to Nowhere."

THE FACTS: As mayor of Wasilla, Palin hired a lobbyist and traveled to Washington annually to support earmarks for the town totaling $27 million. In her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million in special federal spending, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation. While Palin notes she rejected plans to build a $398 million bridge from Ketchikan to an island with 50 residents and an airport, that opposition came only after the plan was ridiculed nationally as a "bridge to nowhere."

PALIN: "There is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform — not even in the state senate."

THE FACTS: Compared to McCain and his two decades in the Senate, Obama does have a more meager record. But he has worked with Republicans to pass legislation that expanded efforts to intercept illegal shipments of weapons of mass destruction and to help destroy conventional weapons stockpiles. The legislation became law last year. To demean that accomplishment would be to also demean the work of Republican Sen. Richard Lugar of Indiana, a respected foreign policy voice in the Senate. In Illinois, he was the leader on two big, contentious measures in Illinois: studying racial profiling by police and requiring recordings of interrogations in potential death penalty cases. He also successfully co-sponsored major ethics reform legislation.

PALIN: "The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes, raise payroll taxes, raise investment income taxes, raise the death tax, raise business taxes, and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars."

THE FACTS: The Tax Policy Center, a think tank run jointly by the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute, concluded that Obama's plan would increase after-tax income for middle-income taxpayers by about 5 percent by 2012, or nearly $2,200 annually. McCain's plan, which cuts taxes across all income levels, would raise after tax-income for middle-income taxpayers by 3 percent, the center concluded.

Obama would provide $80 billion in tax breaks, mainly for poor workers and the elderly, including tripling the Earned Income Tax Credit for minimum-wage workers and higher credits for larger families.

He also would raise income taxes, capital gains and dividend taxes on the wealthiest. He would raise payroll taxes on taxpayers with incomes above $250,000, and he would raise corporate taxes. Small businesses that make more than $250,000 a year would see taxes rise.

MCCAIN: "She's been governor of our largest state, in charge of 20 percent of America's energy supply ... She's responsible for 20 percent of the nation's energy supply. I'm entertained by the comparison and I hope we can keep making that comparison that running a political campaign is somehow comparable to being the executive of the largest state in America," he said in an interview with ABC News' Charles Gibson.

THE FACTS: McCain's phrasing exaggerates both claims. Palin is governor of a state that ranks second nationally in crude oil production, but she's no more "responsible" for that resource than President Bush was when he was governor of Texas, another oil-producing state. In fact, her primary power is the ability to tax oil, which she did in concert with the Alaska Legislature. And where Alaska is the largest state in America, McCain could as easily have called it the 47th largest state — by population.

MCCAIN: "She's the commander of the Alaska National Guard. ... She has been in charge, and she has had national security as one of her primary responsibilities," he said on ABC.

THE FACTS: While governors are in charge of their state guard units, that authority ends whenever those units are called to actual military service. When guard units are deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan, for example, they assume those duties under "federal status," which means they report to the Defense Department, not their governors. Alaska's national guard units have a total of about 4,200 personnel, among the smallest of state guard organizations.

FORMER ARKANSAS GOV. MIKE HUCKABEE: Palin "got more votes running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska than Joe Biden got running for president of the United States."

THE FACTS: A whopper. Palin got 616 votes in the 1996 mayor's election, and got 909 in her 1999 re-election race, for a total of 1,525. Biden dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucuses, but he still got 76,165 votes in 23 states and the District of Columbia where he was on the ballot during the 2008 presidential primaries.

FORMER MASSACHUSETTS GOV. MITT ROMNEY: "We need change, all right — change from a liberal Washington to a conservative Washington! We have a prescription for every American who wants change in Washington — throw out the big-government liberals, and elect John McCain and Sarah Palin."

THE FACTS: A Back-to-the-Future moment. George W. Bush, a conservative Republican, has been president for nearly eight years. And until last year, Republicans controlled Congress. Only since January 2007 have Democrats have been in charge of the House and Senate.

Anyhow, I think I've giving you enough to "think" about.

I make under $5,000,000 per year. I make under $30,000 a year if you really need to know.
I don't agree with Obama's drilling policy or his foreign relations policies.
I don't agree that raising taxes will help our country.
I don't believe in government sponsored healthcare.
I don't believe in increased government programs.
I don't agree with his stance on national security and defense.
His pro-choice stance has no effect on me..as I don't believe the government should be involved in that topic at all. It is outside the bounds of government to legislate morality.
....
Just to name a few of the things I don't agree with. I believe his goals and plans are to create more interference in the daily lives of Americans and to grow government. I do not agree with either of these stances and thus, I cannot support him.

-- Posted by Super_Bethie on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:37 pm CDT

Trucker, if you're out of work, you can damn well blame the GOP for that. After all, it's their oil speculators that hiked up the price of gas! Thanks, but no thanks. Eight years of BS is enough!

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:32 pm CDT

Well...all media sources are now confirming what I had thought. Palin was the applause point for McCain. She has overshadowed the ole boy. He may just have been out Mavericked. LOL

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:29 pm CDT

Thanks for providing me with specific things that bother you so I can look at them for myself. I have no problem considering it...I just don't like the generic "well I don't like him! he's not different! he's not yada yada". I like facts. Thank you.

I may pop in one more time tonight...but I have an ear infection and a baby who will want to get up at 6 am tomorrow..so I'm omw to bed soon.

Agreed! Let's elect a socialist with 143 days experience to run the country. Maybe with the windfall profits tax, BIG OIL will move to Mexico like the rest of our jobs. You never know what great things President Obama will bring us. Just hope he can find a job for me...doubt all your food and toys will arrive by an electric 18 wheeler. Never mind, the government will make sure we have everything we ever wanted under his leadership. PLEASE!!!! Go McCain!

-- Posted by trucker417 on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:28 pm CDT

lesser of two evils?? Please...explain to me what evils Obama threatens you with more than McCain. I'm really interested in hearing this. Ohh. and before you answer. Are you one of those Middle-Class folks says are making under $5,000,000? Or are you one of the rich making over $5,000,000?

Also, I've always been told, a person really needs to be rich to be a republican, in order to really receive the benefits of the republican party.

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:27 pm CDT

gman, thank you very much. It really urks me how he can brag about being a POW, but yet still have destroyed Habeas Corpus. I think many many many people are not questioning his decision making on that. It's scary, thats for certain.

Additionally, you are correct the Keating Five incident, is hardly ever mentioned. I know another familiar poster has mentioned it, but it appears that only a select few really listen.

Here Bethie, you can thank gman for this. Something else you need to consider when we talk of John McCain and his "judgement"

Yes, it's from Wiki, but you'll get the idea...and you can further investigate on your own.

The Keating Five were five United States Senators accused of corruption in 1989, igniting a major political scandal as part of the larger Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The five senators, Alan Cranston (D-CA), Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ), John Glenn (D-OH), John McCain (R-AZ), and Donald W. Riegle (D-MI), were accused of improperly aiding Charles H. Keating, Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, which was the target of an investigation by the Federal Home Loan Bank Board (FHLBB).

After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Alan Cranston, Dennis DeConcini, and Donald Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment".

Again....note about John McCain's..."poor judgement"

Palin
Keating
Habeas Corpus

Yes...this is what 30-years of McCain has come up with. Older and wiser??? No...just older, and losing it.

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:23 pm CDT

I don't believe MLK and Obama share the same dreams.
I don't think Obama is an EXTENSION of his dream.

For me, this year...voting is between the lesser of two evils. I have stated that previously. I'm not a huge fan of McCain..but I view him as the lesser of two evils. I'm also not saying that either candidate doesn't DESIRE to do something...but I'm saying they don't have the POWER to enact the lofty goals. They are there to enforce law..not write it. I also said...in an earlier post to another poster..that while I supported GW...I have agreed with SOME actions and DISAGREED with others. This is 2008..not 2000...thus, there has been time for us to have lived through some things and to be viewing it with HINDSIGHT. I think that can affect ANY person's perceptions...myself included.

I don't want or need convinced. Although I am intrigued by your compulsion to feel that you have "saved" me. You can't save me...you can only save yourself.
As an advocate of personal responsibility---I'm responsible for myself..and at this time..I don't feel I need saving.

You are entitled to your opinion. I'm glad you are exercising your right and priviledge to vote, Soccerguy. If you look at the legislative records, however, you will note that the veto has been threatened yet not executed.

Hilleco, Let me guess...one of the Republicons called you an anti-semite.

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:14 pm CDT

Obama may not be MLK, I don't argue that, but he IS an extension of that "dream." Do...if you have TONS of respect for MLK, then you should RESPECT that dream.

Don't believe they'll change things? Then why vote? By that confession, you are admiting that McCain will not do anything, but your ok with that. Additionally, McCain has now rebuked Bush. You supported Bush, and McCain has rebuked the man you supported. So, by voting for McCain, you are also rebuking the person you supported in 2000.

But the true fact is, if you vote McCain, you are rewarding the republicons for the last eight years by giving them four more. I don't know about you, but I've had enough. If you can't see who sent this country into a tail spin, then there isn't anything I can do to convince or save you.

The_Doctor

Love your post. The one from this morning at 10:49 am and this afternoon at 4:08 pm was very well put together. Keep up the great work.

I like you could not get the ole Keating 5 out of my head everytime he mentioned trust tonight.

One thing that strikes me very odd after his speech tonight was the fact that he was not very affectionate towards his wife. I mean for goodness sakes hold the womans hand or something. She is a beautiful women for her age and not to even hold her hand. Come on.
Unless of coarse he is looking at doing a trade in like his first wife. oops.

Doctor I agree with your comment about his smile. Looks like he is alittle plugged up. Maybe some prune juice will help solve that problem.

-- Posted by gman on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 11:12 pm CDT

Congress can't pass legislature if our president decides to veto what they present to him.

Bush is an idiot. I consider my self a positive person but I really don't see any good things that have come from him... At all.

And now we have McCain:Mcsame:McBush running with his little trophy VP PALIN. I am personally willing to take a chance on Obama, to take a chance on someone new and fresh. Some one who is willing to actually represent the USA in a good manner. Obama/Biden is a good choice. Sure maybe Obama is a new face but I will take my chances with a new face then an old(seriously) old face who hasn't really achieved much of anything. You GOP suckers lost your chance with McCain! If this country re-elects repubs then I really must say we have lost all hope.

OBAMA/BIDEN

-- Posted by soccerguy010 on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:59 pm CDT

Actually Doctor..
I have a TON of respect for MLK, Jr. I think he was one of the few people who was trying to enact change for the right reason...and trying to go about it the right way.

I disagree with comparing Obama to him...as I have heard many media outlets do. As many folks said they didn't feel Palin was any Thatcher...I don't think Obama is any MLK, Jr.

Also---
I don't think either party is really going to change anything all that much..no matter how much they hope to. I don't think the power in the presidency (as executive) really allows for it. Things will continue on with very little real change and a whole lot of posturing. We are not the country we were at inception.

-- Posted by Super_Bethie on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:56 pm CDT

I must clear up two things. First, I think that Palin is a very accomplished woman, if you call being a politician an accomplishment. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother. She has many favorable attributes as judged by my libertarianism. Her support of John McCain and George Bush's policies are a no-no, and deffinately not libertarian. A policy of taking money at the point of a gun and passng it out to anyone, especially a foreign government, is not libertarian. Killing Semites is not libertarian.

Second, I have not killed one Semite in the Middle East or in North Africa. I am not anti-Semitic. How many Semites were killed with the invasion of Iraq, multitudes. I wanted no part of it. So if anyone wants to accuse me of being anti-Semitic, you are way off base.

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:52 pm CDT

Bethie,

Also, are you mocking MLK's I have a dream speech? After all, that's what the civil rights movement was built on. Dreams. Hopes. Change. ( a word McCain has now stolen and copied from Obama.)

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:48 pm CDT

NotSure--
I'd agree that it angers me about all candidates. I know that it is a federal payment...but as Obama is an Illinois senator...he is supposed to be representing myself and those who live in my state with his votes rather than abstaining!!
And also--if you are going to call me close-minded....would you bother to tell me why you feel the need to call me names? I'm open to hearing and debating almost all things. I consider facts and evidence....but like all people there is a point at which I make up my mind. A person cannot go through life and never make a decision or choice.

SoccerGuy--
I don't have the negative and resentful feelings of GW that you have. There are things he has done that I've agreed with...and things that he has done that I've been disappointed with. He's just a man like any other man. I'd say the same thing of any other president. There are always a few things that I can agree with by any president regardless of party. I, however, believe undue emphasis is placed on the president and not enough people hold Congress responsible (as they are the ones who introduce and pass legislation.)

-- Posted by Super_Bethie on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:45 pm CDT

Bethie, the same way that John McCain says he'll make all these changes that he had 30 years to do. McCain isn't going to change anything, other than making things even worse than they are now. You don't have ANY "real" proof that Obama can't and won't make it happen. John McCain on the other hand...has a proven 30-year record of lame duck progress. Again, if he can make ALL of these changes why didn't vote for McCain in 2000? I mean, McCain was a POW then too. I mean, there had to be a reason you chose to work for Bush rather than McCain.

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:42 pm CDT

I'll work on looking up information and get back with you. You aren't hard to find.

Oh...
What is your stance on Obama's "I Have an Electric Car Dream" speech? His promise to provide electric cars for all in 24 months is unrealistic, especially provided our government doesn't own a car company. Also...how effective do you believe these would be as many places like California already have rolling electric blackouts when people have to run their air conditioners? Our infrastructure cannot handle it. I know a lot of Dems want to run around screaming about Big Oil....well the Electric Car Dream speech makes me think he's Big Electric...and that dream makes me forsee HUGE benefits for companies like AmerenUE. Sure....gas may go down...but none of us will be able to keep our lights on.

Super_Bethie,
I'm impressed that you would actually admit that you voted for "GW"(hint when I say that I lay on a thick hick accent! What a great choice, right?

An now to top it off were going to get another one of the good GOP boys in the office. I wish America would learn from its mistakes. I mean come on the 1st 4 years of BUSH sucked, then you voted him in for another 4. Come on lets show the world that there are a few smart Americans left!!!

OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!

Oh well, then. I think you need to look up how John McCain single handedly abolished the foundational powers of Habeas Corpus and the Magna Carta. As a POW, you would think he would hold Habeas Corpus dear to heart. Debatable issue? There you go...Habeas Corpus, John McCain.

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:31 pm CDT

Doctor---
You apparently don't know how old I am. I voted in the 2000 election. I however didn't vote for McCain at the time. I voted for GW....and I did some work on his campaign, actually....because I felt he was the better choice at that time in those circumstances. When you are done trying to criticize me and want to debate the issues...I'd be happy to do so. However, I'm not going to sit back and trade personal attacks.

-- Posted by Super_Bethie on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:23 pm CDT

Super_Bethie

I realize your youth has you at a level of inexperience, but...John McCain has had 30 years to DO THE RIGHT THING. Being a history major, surely you know something about the Magna Carta and Habeas Corpus. Maybe you should look it up. As I posed the questions to the Republicons. Funny, why didn't everyone jump on the McCain wagon in 2000?? Care to answer that? Oh wait. you weren't old enough to vote yet. *giggle*

-- Posted by John in Jackson on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 10:10 pm CDT

OK, I have to say this! McCain has the STUPIDEST smile. Everytime he says something that makes the crowd cheer he smiles! Him just sooo proud of himself! What an idiot!!!

I must say...
I am angry that I as an Illinois taxpayer have been paying the Senate salary of someone who the MAJORITY of the time is only voting present. (in other words, ABSTAIN.) What the hell am I paying his salary for?!!

"Summer Learning Day"
Couldn't we as parents choose any day we want and teach our kids something? Just a thought.

Doctor--
I'll just say that I don't think Obama would Do What's Right...as you ranted about. Why can't you realize that some of us are going to disagree with you...no matter what you feeeeeel? I know myself and other don't view things via our "feelings" on them.

It has always puzzled me (well not really) why politicians of both parties who have spent umpteen years at the public trough always say that they do it because it is a privilege and that it is a "public service."

To me it seems that it is "Selfish Service" or "Narcissistic Service" to hog the public stage all those years and not let anyone else have the privilege and experience of "public service."

-- Posted by John in Jackson on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 9:57 pm CDT

Me'lange, another good point. McCain looks old and tired. Can he really make it through this campaign physically?? He is OLDER than Reagan was after all. Campaigning is hard work, and can take it's toll on the aged. What happens if he dies during the campaign? Or Right after the election?? Ms. Hockey Mom just steps right in?? Scary scary scary. Even if I was a staunch Republican, I would have my reservations about this. Noo. John doesn't look good at all. Even his 96 year old mother looks better than him.

Oops, just used his POW card again..

Yeah....McCain really doesn't bring much to the table. Poor judgement, old age, 30 years of do nothing politics and supporting the establishment. *sigh* It's a NO brainer folks. A vote for Palin/McCain is a wasted vote.

Ohh good grief, someone just yawned! President Palin?? *shaking head*

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 9:56 pm CDT

I won't be voting for him/her who ever it would actually be. Personally I think that another 4 years similar to the last 8 years could/would be a real problem.

Thank God for Mrs Palin! FINALLY! A politician that is not from the spoiled, ruinous, me-first, me,me,me,me, its-all-about-me-and-what-I-want-and-I-DEMAND-IT-NOW Baby Boomers! Someone that hasn't done things the same way they always have been, and doesn't WANT to. The quicker this nation is rid of the selfish boomers the better off all of our wallets will be. -- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 9:50 pm CDT

There you go folks. The most dangerous statement of the night. He is going to Privatize Education. NCLB started it, now McCain will finish. Yes...only the rich making OVER $5,000,000 will be able to send their children to school. Not only will he stretch the financial gap between the Rich and the Poor, now he is going to DENY education to the poor. What's the first thing a dictator does? Try to keep the citizenry uneducated. What did I say earlier??? Global Domination!

Dangerous times my friends. Also..again notice ALL of the RNC are dressed to the nigh like they are attending a formal. They don't look common and blue-collar to me. Definately a Blue-Blood Crowd.

One question directly aimed at any Republicon that cares to answer.

Why wasn't McCain good enough in 2000? Why didn't you nominate him President then? Just curious.

Second, I can see it now, McCain will not even be able to out do Palin's speech, she'll see that and push him out of the way and try to take the Presidency all to herself. LOL After all, she is carrying this team. *snicker*

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 9:13 pm CDT

Hilleco I am not voting for either of the two major parties either. I will probably vote for Chuck Baldwin, because he did not go pledge his allegiance and bow down before AIPAC like the other two guys did. We know who they will answer to.

I believe that by not choosing to vote for either of the 2 stooges Hilleco, is one of the highest acts of patriotism you can display. It is a non-violent form of civil disobedience to not vote for either candidate.
When we vote for lesser of two evils we are still voting for evil aren't we? Hang in there and don't be browbeaten by anyone.

I think people are well meaning but mis-guided when they say "if you don't vote you then you can't complain." They simply mimic what they have heard others say and imply that a non-voter has no free speech. Totalitarian governments mandate the people vote so that they can justify their tyranny.

Babe on the ticket,
Eh...she put herself out there as a "babe" with the beauty contest info.

A psychic?,
Agree. I believe most careers require at least ONE in person job interview.

Underestimating women,
Eh...there are SOME who are going to do just that. (Bad mom!)

Decision-making ability,
I agree about thinking long and hard about voting for McCain, but my primary reasons differ. For the last 6-7 years, McCain has flip-flopped his stances to align himself with his party about for this election. IF he had remained true to his own convictions, I would take a more serious look at him v. BO.

A crackdown on dog doo,
Things that make one go hum...saw the Cape County prosecuting attorney walking a dog on a leash. Had to take a second look-see, he did NOT have a baggy or pooper scooper in other his hand.

Aren't there laws?,
"I thought it was against state policy that employees could not openly campaign for candidates. I think he should be fired." Well, don't know what the state rules are...but an elected official, the prosecuting attorney campaigned for a county commissioner.

TSO not coming to Cape,
I would imagine TSO not coming to Cape has something to do with the lack of a promoter willing to take the risk of losing money.

Slap in the face,
HER selection was purely a political move, initially it appeared to be a pretty good one. However, as the facts are rolling out into MSM...well...guess time will tell.

Its time to watch John's Speech so I will say Good night and as usual leave you with a joke!!

This is dedicated to our military!

As a crowded airliner is about to take off, the peace is shattered by a 5-year-old boy who picks that moment to throw a wild temper tantrum. No matter what his frustrated, embarrassed mother does to try to calm him down, the boy continues to scream furiously and kick the seats around him.
Suddenly, from the rear of the plane, an elderly man in the uniform of an Air Force General is seen slowly walking forward up the aisle. Stopping the flustered mother with an upraised hand, the white-haired, courtly, soft-spoken General leans down and, motioning toward his chest, whispers something into the boy's ear.
Instantly, the boy calms down, gently takes his mother's hand, and quietly fastens his seat belt. All the other passengers burst into spontaneous applause.
As the General slowly makes his way back to his seat, one of the cabin attendants touches his sleeve. "Excuse me, General," she asks quietly, "but could I ask you what magic words you used on that little boy?"
The old man smiles serenely and gently confides, "I showed him my pilot's wings, service stars, and battle ribbons, and explained that they entitle me to throw one passenger out the plane door on any flight I choose

It seems that sometimes it may be better to do nothing - to be an absolute zero, than to have a scorecard of plusses and minusses.

Doing something good does not seem to carry near the value as doing something bad. Hmm, recall a rule-of-thumb that it takes 100 atta-boys to cancel 1 aw-crap.

Even so, people may not remember any of the 100 atta-boys, but they will sure remember the single aw-crap.

Sarah Palin's Speech

CBS News has been particularly patronizing to the Gas and Oil Party this week. I may be wrong, but I do believe that CBS may have cut their Monday convention coverage person, and replaced her with Hattie Kaufman, who could not find one negative thing to say about the Republicans this week. Hattie is a strong supporter of Israel, as is Sarah Palin.

All night long, on the CBS overnight newscasts, there was Hattie, gushing and ah-ing over every syllable that her GOP guests uttered. Night after night, on into the early morning hours on the CBS Early Show, Hattie pitched softballs to the Republicans and when they weren't fast enough on the uptake, answered some of her questions herself in a positive reflection upon the GOP.

The crowd assembled, waiting for their heroine to speak. She is no St. Joan of Arc, but for the Republicans she needn't be saintly, just pithy, snide, and verbally agressive. Her entire speech was nothing more than the assemblage of one-liners, jokes of sorts, and the untruth. She spun a nice story, but that is all it was, a story without substance.

She repeated over and over that John McCain was the one to lead reform in Washington. John McCain would fight the special interests. Odd, I thought that John McCain had pressured financial regulators to go lightly, or, go away just before the Savings and Loan scandal broke in the 1980's. He was one of the infamous Keating Five. Five US Senators who shamed themselves and America, and forced American taxpayers to cough up the money, $162 Billion to bail out the savings and loans.

Some more of Palin's crazy talk.
"Senator McCain's record of actual achievement and reform helps explain why so many special interests, lobbyists, and comfortable committee chairmen in Congress have fought the prospect of a McCain presidency, from the primary election of 2000 to this very day."

Oh, yes, the lobbyists and special interests are shaking in their boots over the prospect that McCain will be elected. They must have mighty fine dope up Alaska way, for you to say such a nutty thing.

"It's the journey of an upright and honourable man, the kind of fellow whose name you will find on war memorials in small towns across this country, only he was among those who came home."

I am still thinking... KEATING FIVE, Corrupt as hell, McCain.

I could go on and on, but I grow tired and must sleep. Perhaps I will turn on the TV and watch McCain's speech until I fall asleep. Last night, ten minutes into Palin's speech, I was sound asleep. Nothing like story tales to put one as ease and to sleep.

Robert Goodbody, Your 8:22pm post was superb.

-- Posted by The_Doctor on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 8:48 pm CDT

Hmmm...the Republicons went silent on my last post. I guess I'll have to post that again for them.

And...in case you can't add. Palin Raised $10 Million dollars for McCain in (7) SEVEN days, while Palin raised an AMAZING $10 Million for Barack Obama, in less than 24 Hours. Oh yes, I think this sends a resound SLAM back into that...what was it called? Oh...it's really irrelevant, considering the results. I mean...who would have thought it. And...um...not seeing any big bounce out of the RNC for McCain and Palin either. Yes, it does appear the Palin speech more yap than bite. Tough? Ha! Cosmopolitan at best. Paris Hilton was much more effective. *giggle*

ANYWAY, incase you missed it, here it is again.

***HEADLINE***

Palin's Convention Speech Brings in Cash for Obama

Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is bringing in campaign cash for the Democrats as well as her own party.

Barack Obama reported raising at least $10 million from more than 130,000 donors today after Palin, the Alaska governor, addressed the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, and criticized the Democratic presidential nominee.

``Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected,'' Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said. ``And we fully expect John McCain's attacks tonight to help us make our grassroots organization even stronger.''

The money followed an e-mail solicitation campaign manager David Plouffe sent out right after Palin's speech.

``You know that despite what John McCain and his attack squad say, every day people have the power to build something extraordinary when we come together,'' he wrote.

McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, raised $10 million after Palin was selected as his running mate Aug. 29, part of his record $47 million haul last month.

``She's energized the base,'' said former New York Senator Alfonse D'Amato, who has raised at least $250,000 for McCain, 72. ``Money will not be a problem.''

Palin Appeal

The McCain campaign sent out an e-mail from Palin, 44, today seeking additional donations. ``We must have the finances to respond to the latest attacks the Democrats have launched at us,'' she wrote.

Now that McCain is the nominee, he will receive $84.1 million for his fall campaign and cannot raise any private money except to cover legal and accounting costs. His fundraisers can continue to bring in money for the Republican National Committee, which, in turn, can spend it on McCain's behalf.

McCain also can contribute any unspent money from his primary campaign to the RNC, Federal Election Commission spokesman Bob Biersack said.

Robert G., Hilleco, you are taking a brave stand concerning your comments about the U.S. and Israel. The Jewish Zionists,Christian Zionists and the other mockingbirds who place the worship of Israel above the worship of God will call you out and say what you said is hate speech against poor little Israel. It is one thing to be an ally and another to excuse everything they do. Remember Jonathan Pollard the traitor spy who gave Top Secret information to Israel? Do you think our pals should spy on us?

The ADL ( Anti-Defamation League) and AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee), on behalf of the state of Israel, intimidate and threaten anyone who speaks critically of Israel. They will call you a Jew hater and an anti-Semite. We are supposed to do Israel’s bidding. All of our foreign policy is approved ( and mostly written) by them. This country is hated so much by the Arabs mostly because of our un-fair one-sided policy in Israel’s favor. We have treated Israel like kings and the Arabs like swine.

Our congressmen are terrified of doing the “wrong” thing concerning Israel. They will be hounded out of office by the Jewish controlled press and have their lives ruined. Just ask former congressman Paul Findley 11 term Republican Representative from Illinois. He lost his job after speaking out about the disparity of out treatment of the Palestinians and the Israelis. He wrote an amazing book titled "They Dare to Speak Out" about the history of AIPAC and their strangle hold on our government. Read some of the books reviews on Amazon to give you an idea of what he wrote about. http://www.amazon.com/... Especially what he wrote about Israel’s criminal attack on the USS Liberty in 1967 and the treasonous behavior of our government in the cover-up.

By the way, don’t you think Navy man John McCain who claims he cares about the troops would have wanted to have a thorough investigation about the cold blooded murders of those sailors? There was no investigation because Israel told us it was just a tragic mistake. For all of you war supporters who claim you support the troops, why don’t you support the murdered sailors by demanding that there be an investigation about the Liberty? Here is a link to the documentary about the Liberty in the words of the survivors. http://video.google.com/...

Re: crackdown on dog doo
Suggest this is from the same people who blow their crabgrass clippings in the street to share and to propogate with the neighborhood, toss their fast food bags out anywhere they please, etc. The world is their trash can and everyone else should lower their standards to meet their vision of status quo.
Some people actually do care about property upkeep and resale values.

Re: early lunch at school
Would be really interested to know what law provides for a mandated half-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks. If true, I'm working entirely too hard for 'the man'.
As for lunch at 10:30 - perhaps one of the ever-popular bond issues should be voted on to expand the lunch rooms?

Re: license plate issues
It's my understanding that one plate is issued for vehicles registered at 18000 lbs and up.
What's the difference between no license plate, and one that has been mangled and soiled beyond recognition?
It's the current law - don' t like it, then change it. Nobody likes a whiner (opening the door for a cheap-shot retaliatory comment here, folks).

Re: TSO not coming to Cape
Geez, if a packed house at the SEMO-Me center can't bring an act back, not sure there's enough strings on a local level to pull. Perhaps a senator can sponsor a resolution? :-)~

And in the perhaps misguided efforts to lighten the political mood given the current environment - as well as to give Silent Bob a run, I offer this, received by e-mail circulation:
An email from Ireland to all of their brethren in the States...a point to ponder despite your political affiliation:

'We, in Ireland , can't figure out why you people are even bothering to hold an election in the United States

On one side, you had a pants-wearing female lawyer, married to another lawyer who can't seem to keep his pants on, who just lost a long and heated primary against a lawyer who goes to the wrong church, who is married to yet another lawyer who doesn't even like the country her husband wants to run !

Now...On the other side, you have a nice old war hero whose name starts with the appropriate 'Mc' terminology, married to a good looking younger woman who owns a beer distributorship !!

What in God's name are ya lads thinkin over in the colonies?

"Catholic Democrats respond to Palin's snotty remarks"

"Palin criticized for mocking community organizing
Submitted by Dennis Coday on Thu, 09/04/2008 - 15:44.

By NCR Staff ( The National Catholic Reporter)
http://ncronline3.org/...
Published:
September 4, 2008

The group Catholic Democrats today issued a strong rebuke of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s sarcastic mocking of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s work as a community organizer during the 1980s.

“I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities,” Palin, former mayor of a small town in Alaska, said during her speech to the Republican National Convention Sept. 3 in St. Paul, Minn.

The speech by Palin, currently governor of Alaska, followed one by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also belittled Obama’s work as a community organizer, drawing laughs from the assembled Republicans.

“It is shocking that a vice presidential candidate would disparage an essential component of the Catholic social tradition with her condescending attack on urban community organizing,” said Dr. Patrick Whelan, president of Catholic Democrats, an association of state-based groups advancing understanding of Catholic social teaching.

The group criticized Palin for mocking Obama’s work “in the 1980s for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.” The Catholic Campaign for Human Development is an arm of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and it partially funded Obama’s activities in Catholic parishes on the South Side of Chicago. At the time it was known simply as the Campaign for Human Development.

Community organizing was work Obama undertook “instead of pursuing a lucrative career on Wall Street,” according to a statement from Catholic Democrats.

Referring to Palin’s speech, the statement said: “Her divisive rhetoric, repeatedly pitting small towns against urban communities, demonstrates not only a lack of charity toward the needs of some of the least among us but a fundamental disrespect for those who dedicate their lives to overcoming poverty across our country.”

Brother_Bob: The military seemed to think that they needed me. So you think that defending the Constitution is a cop-out.

Posters whom choose to post propaganda equivalent to "you are a insignificant small worthless voice!!" are merely projecting what they see in the mirror.

Explain propaganda! You idiot!! Simply stated if someone is going to be a quitter and not vote then they have NO VOICE in the argument. How in hells bells can you make a difference by being an armchair quarterback?? Some of you goody two shoes just blow me away, Gripe and complain then do nothing. WOW!!

babe, "Gov Sarah Palin meets all my expectations in my truths, principles and convictions."

Dearest, Some appear to have higher truths, principles and convictions than you do. Like, a mother caring enough to raise their children with morals. Like, not sleeping around on their husband. Like, not wanting their candidate to seek pork and then changing her mind. Like, caring about something other than how her child caresses a sibling. Like, not wanting her family issues in the media, but flaunting them in front of the cameras.

"Why is it that some here cannot understand that others have made up their minds and are trying to sway you? Most folks are not like you who need to blow in the wind to find out what you stand for as we already know."

Dearest,
Why is it that some here cannot understand that others have made up their minds and have the right to voice their position without idiots who would vote straight party line even if a duck were running? Most folks are not like you who need to blow in the wind to find out what you stand for as we already know.

Another sign from God.

Palin's Newest Accomplishment: Palin's Convention Speech Brings in Cash for Obama!

Hilleco

That's a cop out and you know it!!

Ron Paul IS a great American with out a doubt, But he has no place in politics in 2008. His ideas of grandeur are out dated and he cant even get his constituents to listen to him any more. And if your going to run and hide when the going gets tough we didn't need you in the first place and neither did our Military!

Your comment reminds me of a child crying to momma that some took his toy. Grow a pair get back in the game and make a difference!!

Also Babe, since most Jews in the world are not Zionists, you must think the same way as the pretentious Jews shaping our foreign policy, that those Jews must be self-haters.

Silent_Bob: I did vote for Ron Paul in the primary. When I served this nation in war, I swore to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Ron Paul was the only candidate who defended the Constitution during the debate, as he swore to do when he went into the military. The man is true to his word. So to remain true to my word, he would be the only candidate that I could vote for.

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 7:19 pm CDT

So according to you Bob we need to make sure your registered to vote before posting an opinion on an opinion page?

Post all you want! Until you grow enough hair to participate in the country's problems you are a insignificant small worthless voice!!

-- Posted by Silent_Bob on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 7:19 pm CDT

Israel was created by the allies who won WWII as a place to relocate Jewish people who had been displaced from their own countries by the Germans. We, the USA, took the plan to the UN and took responsibility for the establishment of Israel. And we shall always stand with them. The USA has always been a compassionate country and the jew-haters here will not accept that fact.

-- Posted by BABE on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 7:15 pm CDT

To me placing the interests of a foreign nation by an elected official over the US's is un-American and traitorous.

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 5:18 pm CDT

Why do you care? You have already stated that you don't and wont vote so your opinion matters less than the rest of those Dem-Witted butt heads. You should just sit back and Hush!!

Aggie

Would you please ignore your testosterone levels and cease attacking me?

Babe said, "Gov Sarah Palin meets all my expectations in my truths, principles and convictions." Then you're a Communist, and there's nothing I can do to save you.

Robert Goodbody wrote "This Israel was not formed by God. It was formed by men. When God forms Israel, He will let you know."

Those words echo among many of the Jewish websites. They still believe in the power of G-d.

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 6:48 pm CDT

Hilleco, Robert: I am a conservative, but disagree with my parties view on its foreign policies. If a country, as powerful as Israel, let them fight their own battles.
We don't need to send our men/women just because someone we don't trust sneezed. Aggie

-- Posted by Aggiefan/Twiggy on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 6:44 pm CDT

I could care less for Obama, but weren't the neo-conservatives complaining that he didn't have an American flag pin attached to his chest. How about a pin that shows the flag of a foreign nation. Obama, if your listening, for heaven's sake put a pin with the star of David on your chest. It will let the foreign government know that you will take no action in the theft of military secrets and then them selling those secrets at a Turkey market.

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 6:41 pm CDT

ISRAEL?

"My opimion is that neo-conservatives have no respect for the US and use its wealth to the benefit of a foreign nation, which would mean that they are un-American."

-- Posted by Hilleco on Thu, Sep 4, 2008, 6:04 pm CDT"

Extremely well put, Hilleco, so much so, that even the most brain challenged here should be able to comprehend.

The neo-conservatives are bleeding this nation dry, of our resources, our military, our tax dollars, our jobs, and out future.

There is no reason that we should "stand with Israel." When I have more time, I will elaborate. If you have some perverse interpratation of the bible, that is your business, but, please, do not attempt to force your radical religious beliefs upon the rest of us and force them to become the foreign policy of this nation.

For the time being, just keep in mind, that perhaps our most greatest president, our first president warned us to not become entangled in foreign governments. To trade with all and to be friends will all, but not to become involved in the quarrels of other nations, especially, those of Europe.

That means Israel. Your view of the Bible is much different than mine. If you want to stand with Israel, get your ass over there and stand with them in the IDF. Send your kids, just don't force your personal view, with which many of us disagree, upon us as the foreign, or, defense policy of this nation.

This Israel was not formed by God. It was formed by men. When God forms Israel, He will let you know.

Hmmm....just heard a speech from Ronald Reagan where he was promoting, HOPE, Confidence, and growth! ...hmmm HOPE. Now what present candidate is running a campaign based on HOPE. Hmmmm. NOT McCain. I guess he's NO Reagan after all.

There was only ONE RWR. I have to admit three are aome fellow repub's that want another RWR. McCain is his own person.
Do you go through life on HOPE?
Do go to bed at night saying I HOPE to wake in the morning?
Or, I HOPE this/that? HOPE HOPE CHANGE CHANGE. To many people are clinging to one word phrases. Ok, I HOPE TO GOD HUSSEIN OBAMA DOESN"T WIN!! Aggie
