Back in Missouri

Saturday, September 6, 2008

I had such a great time this last week in Minnesota but it also feels good to be back home.  Hardy Billington, author of The Election By Faith and President of the Poplar Bluff R-1 School Board was also in Minnesota this week as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.  I guess you can say Poplar Bluff was blessed with two people in attendance this year.  It was such wonderful opportunity and I just to say thank you to everyone that made it possible for me to be able to attend.

For the Sake of Our Nation Vote Republican in 2008!

...and that platform would be just fine for the children of the 'haves' who could have their tax dollars follow their children to private schools but disastrous for the children of the 'have-nots' who would be stuck in a struggling public school system and would ultimately destroy public education.

The facts:

Republican Party on Education
Party Platform

Promote school choice and home-schooling
We applaud efforts to promote school choice initiatives that give parents more control over their children's education.

Limit role of federal government in education

Allow federal dollars to follow children to the school of their choice.

First of all, hats off to Mr. Billington and Ms. Foster for doing their part in representing Missouri at the Republican convention.

The person who made negative comments about Republicans and public education is sadly misinformed.
After all, the left wing lunatic fringe is responsible for the rewriting of our history books in public schools, not the Republicans.

Finally, do you really want someone whose only accomplishment is giving speeches when the teleprompter is workin as President? Without it, he is like a 3rd grader in front of an audience of thousands - bewildered and lost. Or, do you really want
a gang of incompetent appointees (Opra, Jesse Jackson, etc.)appointed to high places in government? This has absolutely nothing to do with race. Our current Secretary of State is doing an outstanding job, and this is because she has BRAINS. Colin Powell also did a fair job.

Obamunism is dangerous, and if we elect that whacko, the country will regret it very, very soon, because the poor incompetent teleprompter reading soul could not lead a cat out of the basement.

How would it be a blessing for families with children in school to have two educators actively participating with a political party that is attempting to destroy public education?
