LICK CREEK, Ill. — George Wayne Lence, 60, of Lick Creek died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, Ill.

He was born Dec. 20, 1947, in Anna, Ill., son of Walter Truman and Mary Virginia Manus Lence.

Survivors include his mother of Lick Creek; two brothers, Richard Lence of Anna, Mervin Lence of Lick Creek; and a sister, Rosalee Edwards of Marion, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Tirey officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
