Let's talk about pay raises

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Cape Girardeau County commissioners are reviewing the county's budget with an eye toward preserving employees an annual raise, typically 3.5 percent -- since 2004 state and local workers nationally have gotten 3.1 to 3.5 percent. Private industry gave its workers between 2.5 and 3.3 percent during that same time. What raise did you get this year?

Well, this poll was geared toward people employed outside the home. Do people on disability get cost-of-living increases in their support checks? Is that what you're asking?
