Boyd's the winnerThursday, October 2, 2008
It's late, and I'm tired. Neal E. Boyd probably is, too. If you haven't heard, the tenor from Sikeston, Mo., won "America's Got Talent" Wednesday night, though a lot of people were skeptical. I wondered if this opera singer could beat pop and soul singers, but he did. Congrats, Neal. In case you missed it, we have a story up in seMissourian.com and on our Neal E. Boyd page, "America's Voice," that will tell you all about the win and the watch party I attended in Sikeston. It was a fun time, and Neal's friends and family were gracious hosts. Tomorrow (Thursday) I'll update "America's Voice" with video. Until then, check out this YouTube video of Boyd and runner-up Eli Mattson performing together. I hear they've become fast friends. Good night.

Hello,
I wanted to vote for Neal E Boyd, being in Canada I couldn't vote online.
From the first time I heard that fabulous vote I knew Neal would win.
Congratulations Neal, I look forward to buying a cd of your singing.
