SIKESTON, Mo. -- Charles H. Hill, 93, of Sikeston died Monday, June 20, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 3, 1912, in Charleston, son of Charles Nicholas and Mary Scott Hill. He and Grace M. Woods were married Oct. 29, 1933. She died Feb. 24, 2003.

Hill had been employed at Knight Department Stores and Buckner-Ragsdale in Sikeston. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He served with the U.S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Hill of Oran, Mo., Paul Hill of Charleston, Mo.; a daughter, Marilyn Hasty of Sikeston; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 10 a.m. to service time today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
