Jackson trailed 61-52 with 6 minutes remaining, but the Indians responded with an 11-0 run. Jake Leet capped the run with a 3-pointer which put Jackson up 63-61 with 1:45 remaining.
Ray Rogers put Sikeston back on top 64-63 with a three-point play with 1:26 left.
Garritano put Jackson ahead for good on its next possession.
Following turnovers from both teams, Sikeston had the ball with 12 seconds remaining but Blake Taylor was tied up. Despite missing the front end of a one-and-one twice in the final 8 seconds -- Sikeston was unable to get a final shot off following Jackson's second missed free throw -- the Indians prevailed.
"I was proud of our effort to keep clawing, keep fighting, and find a way to win there at the end," Jackson coach Darrin Scott said. "Coach [Bob] Knight has a famous quote, 'the team that makes the fewest mistakes wins the games.' I don't know if we made the fewest, but we didn't make the last mistake."
Leet led Jackson (14-6) with 26 points, Steve Spradlin had 11 and Spencer Goodman added 10.
Michael Porter led Sikeston with 21 points.

Stoddard County tournament
The top two seeds in the Stoddard County Athletic Association boys basketball tournament advanced with first-round wins. Top-seeded Bell City hammered No. 8 Woodland 109-40 as Will Bogan poured in 30 points.
Bell City hit eight 3-pointers, including three each by Nick Niemczyk (18 points) and Melvin Johnson (9 points). Austin Segers collected the other two 3-pointers on his way to a 16-point night.
Seth Gaines scored 18 for the Cardinals.
The Cubs play 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the semifinal round against fifth-seeded Dexter.
Second-seeded Advance held off No. 7 Bloomfield, the tournament host, for a 63-50 decision.

The Central wrestling team dropped a close match at home.
The Tigers sat out top wrestlers Matt Latham and Garrett New, who were resting injuries following last weekend's SEMO Conference tournament.
"They're just tweaked up, and we want to make sure they're healthy in a couple weeks for the district tournament," Central coach Josh Crowell said.
His team fell to 1-5 despite winning seven of the 11 matches that were contested. The Falcons also won two forfeits, and one match was a double forfeit.
Central recorded two pins, including one by freshman Raymond Woldtvedt at 145 pounds. The other was posted by Matt Smith at 171.
