Season-opening tourney canceled

Southeast Missouri State's softball season-opening tournament has been canceled.

The Redhawks were set to open the season Saturday at the Tennessee-Martin Hospitality Classic, but inclement weather has forced the tournament to be shelved. It is unlikely the tournament will be rescheduled.

Southeast will now open its season at the Blues City Classic in Southaven, Miss. The Redhawks will face host Memphis on Feb. 23 in their opener.
