On Jan. 24, Cape Girardeau police served a search warrant at Harris' home at 531 N. Fountain. Officers found a loaded, .40-caliber pistol, $5,150 in cash and three plastic bags containing 32.5 grams of cocaine base, or crack. Officers also found a small quantity of crack on Harris.

Harris has state drug and weapons convictions. U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey ordered the sentences in the federal case to run consecutive to the sentences Harris is currently serving in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
