PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ruth T. Berkbuegler, 86, of Perryville died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Perry County, daughter of Gilbert and Cecelia Gibbar Henderson. She and Herbert Berkbuegler were married Feb. 17, 1936. He died May 24, 1968.

Berkbuegler was an assembler for 35 years at International Shoe Co. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Elenore Braun of Carlock, Ill., Lunette Erzfeld of Uniontown, Mo.; a son, James Berkbuegler of Perryville; a sister, Edna Horner of Lawrenceburg, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Bill Thess officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
