CLEVER, Mo. (AP) -- A weak tornado damaged a bank roof and some trees Thursday in this small southwest Missouri town, but no injuries were reported.

The National Weather Service said the early morning twister was rated an F0, the least destructive possible, with winds between 65 and 85 miles per hour.

Meteorologist Megan Terry said the tornado touched down around 5:20 a.m. as thunderstorms moved through southwest Missouri.

People's Bank in Clever, about 20 miles southwest of Springfield, lost a section of roof "about the size of eight sheets of plywood", said Connie Brewer, senior vice president for operations. "But we're open for business," she added.

Nobody was in the building when the tornado hit.

The twister left a track about one-half mile long and 50 yards wide. Besides the bank roof, it damaged some trees and lawn furniture.

A second funnel cloud was reported near Roaring River State Park in Barry County, about 50 miles southwest of Clever. Terry said no damage was reported and it was unclear if the funnel touched down.
