Bollinger leads ND swimmers to second place at SLUH meet

The Notre Dame boys swimming team took second place Friday with a score of 112 in a meet hosted by St. Louis University High.

The Junior Bills took first with a score of 161, and Kennedy took third with 24.

Bulldogs swimmer Logan Bollinger recorded both of Notre Dame's first-place finishes, touching the wall first in the 100 backstroke (1 minute, 0.61 seconds) and the 100 butterfly (59.40). Notre Dame also finished second in both the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay with the team of Bollinger, Matthew Caplan, Sean Doyle and Jacob Buckenmyer.

Meadow Heights recorded the win at home over Zalma with the help of Jenna Haas and Amanda Hendrickson, who both had five kills.

Courtney Brune chipped in with three kills for the Panthers (10-5-2).

JV -- Zalma won in two games.

Woodland 25 25Oran 13 17

Woodland picked up a road victory over Oran, winning in two games.

Lauren Johnson paced the Cardinals (11-4) with seven kills. Brandi Killian had nine assists.

Callie Kielhofner had nine digs and two blocks for the Eagles (2-6).

JV -- Woodland won in two games.

SOCCEREagle Ridge 4,Community Christian 1

Daniel Cohen scored all four goals as Eagle Ridge won at home.

Sam Davis had two assists, and Ethan Grant had four saves for Eagle Ridge (7-1).

Springfield Glendale 1, Central 0

Central suffered a shutout loss on the road against Springfield Glendale.

Tigers goalkeeper Clayton Uptain made seven saves in the loss.
