Amazing that 10 of the 11 came from 1A and 2A teams.

Was this just for players that your paper covers?? There's some really strong players from down south and none of them were selected including the best hitter in Southeast Missouri (Cassy Woolverton from Gideon)

Scott City had some players that were good..

I think it is rather interesting that at least 8 out of the 12 girls are catholic! Yay for the catholic girls!!!!

I think its crappy that only 5 teams were represented. The SEMissourian covers more than just those 5 teams. Like janaj100 said "scott city had some good players' I know of atleast 1 that should've been on there from Scott City. What about teams down south?? The missourian covered those games as well...I'd just like to know who votes on this.

Why is it that only 5 teams from Southeast MO were represented?? Kudos to JanaJ and rogersj for realizing that there are other players who are very much deserving of this. Jackson and Scott City both had more-than deserving players.

I think that you guys are a bunch of crybabies and you're just upset because your girls didn't make it. They obviously picked the girls that were the best. You shouldn't get on here and complain about it because they've already been picked, there's nothing you can do about it.

The past volleyball season was great. All of these comments let me relive each game -- against Jackson, against Scott City. Great games! The best game was the sectional game at Bell City. Leopold vs. Bell City. What excitement! And then the quarter-final game against Gideon. Cassi Wolverton was an excellent player. But a review of game video points out that her very fast arm was shut down by Leopold blocker Maddy Hutchings. First set Hutchings out hit, out served and out blocked. Second set Wolverton out hit Hutchings by one kill, but Hutchings still dominated serves and blocks. Third set Hutchings dominated all again.

The level of competition determines excellence. Not just wins.
