Perryville wins conference

The Perryville girls basketball team wrapped up the Jefferson County Conference title with its 74-33 victory over Windsor on Wednesday.

The Pirates jumped ahead 55-20 at halftime and never looked back.

Alicia Kueker led the way for the Pirates with 27 points, including four 3-pointers, and four rebounds. Alyssa Bauwens added 15 in the win.

The Pirates improved to 9-0 in the conference and 17-4 overall.

Makenzie Schirmer had a team-high seven rebounds in the win.

Perryville's varsity and junior varsity teams both went undefeated in conference play.

Nick Niemczyk finished with 31 points and Ethan Watkins added 16 in the completion of a game that started Tuesday night.

The Cubs improved to 19-2 with the win.
