Parkway South jumped on Jackson early, and the Indians couldn't mount a rally as the Patriots earned the 56-29 girls basketball victory Saturday.

Ashten Howard led Jackson with 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.

The Indians dropped to 12-9 with the loss.

Ben Douglass exploded for 34 points to help Eagle Ridge capture third place in the SLMCAA tournament in St. Louis.

Daniel Cohen added 20 for the Eagles (13-7), who continue their season at the state tournament in Joplin beginning Wednesday.
