JONESBORO, Ill. — Jack E. Treece, 66, of Jonesboro died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 31, 1942, in Jonesboro, son of Hollie E. and Ruby Garrett Treece. He and Delilah Woody were married July 2, 1977, in Sparta, Ill.

Treece retired from Trojan Powder Co. in Wolf Lake, Ill., and later retired from A-J Water Commission in Jonesboro. He attended Jonesboro United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kerry Treece of Wetaug, Ill., Clifford Treece of Makanda, Ill.; a daughter, Dorinda Treece of Anna; a brother, Danny Treece of Jonesboro; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly Mayberry.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Fear officiating. Interment will be in Kelley Cemetery east of Cobden, Ill.
