Jackson junior Tyler Qualls enjoyed a successful SEMO Conference baseball tournament, helping the Indians to the title Monday night.

Qualls batted .444 in his team's three games and scored four runs. He also knocked in four runs in his team's wins over Kennett, Central and Sikeston.

Qualls scored the winning run against Sikeston in the tournament championship game. He coaxed a two-out walk and came around to score on Caleb Hosey's double.

Qualls is among the leading hitters for Jackson this season. His .385 average ranks third, and he's driven in 11 runs. He's tied for second on the team with 16 runs scored and tied for first with five doubles. He's been busy on the basepaths as well, stealing seven bases.
