The Notre Dame baseball team continued to roll Tuesday, pounding Fredericktown 10-0 in five innings in the semifinals of the Class 3 District 1 tournament.

Notre Dame, 23-1 and ranked first in the state, will face Kennett in today's 4 p.m. title game at Dexter. Kennett, an 8-7 winner over Dexter, already has lost to Notre Dame twice this season.

Dylan Drury made quick work of Fredericktown, mowing down nine batters.

"Dylan gave us what we needed on the mound," Notre Dame coach Jeff Graviett said.

Jake Pewitt went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs, while Mark Hagedorn drove in two. Ryan Bass added two hits and Austin Greer homered.

Jackson's Tyler Qualls hit a solo homer in the top of the ninth to put Jackson up 4-3, but North County won it with two runs in the bottom of the frame.

"It was a very tough loss," Jackson coach Rob French said.

Travis Hurst pitched 5 2/3 strong innings for Jackson (12-14), allowing an unearned run and five hits.

Bobby Clark allowed the two seventh-inning runs by North County without retiring a batter in the frame. Caleb Hosey recorded the final three outs in the seventh and worked a scoreless eighth before suffering the loss in the ninth.
