Geraldine was a testimony of the power and strength you can receive when you put all your trust in Jesus Christ. She was the rock on which the foundation of the Love family was built. She always praised God and gave him all honor and glory. She often stated that her heart's desire was to "live a good life and serve the Lord." Her children will continue to draw on her strength.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gerald Love of DeSoto, Texas; four daughters, JoAnn Gillis of Dumfries, Va., Hannah Love of St Louis, Glenda Burch of Fredericksburg, Va., and Jeanne Vanessa Livers of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Elizabeth Wigfall of South Bend, Ind., and Darlene White Love of Durham N.C.; son-in-Law, David Lyons of Ellisville, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home, 1001 N. Mount Auburn Road, Cape Girardeau.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 835 Beaudean Lane, Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Wiley Reed will officiate. Interment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
