Dr. Lenore K. Bierbaum passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010.

Dear daughter of the late Milton and Madge Bierbaum; beloved sister of Madge (Glenn) Wiesner and Dr. Gene (Agnes) Bierbaum of Gainesville, Fla.; loving aunt of Paula Bogardo, Ellen (Julien) Carter, Mark (Maggie) Bierbaum, Diane (Paul) Muckstadt and Bob (June) Bierbaum; dear great-aunt, cousin, teacher and friend.

Dr. Bierbaum served a variety of roles at Southeast Missouri State University: professor, chairwoman of the department of education and dean of education. She won numerous awards including a 1993 Southeast University Alumni Merit Award.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Friendship Village West, 15201 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dr. Lenore K. Bierbaum Scholarship Fund at Southeast Missouri State University, 1 University Plaza MS 73000, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.

Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
