PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A text message sent to the wrong person tipped authorities off to search a Perryville home where officers reportedly discovered drugs.

Amy R. Horman, 24, mistakenly sent a text message to a Perry County Sheriff's Department employee and offered drugs for sale, said Perry County Sheriff Gary J. Schaaf.

On Monday Perry County sheriff's deputies searched Horman's home at 801 N. Main St., Lot 503, in Perryville.

They seized around three-fourths of a pound of marijuana, rolling papers and packaging, along with weighing scales used for processing, packaging and selling marijuana, said Schaaf. Horman is charged with felony distribution of a controlled substance and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Pandora L. Cowgur, 38, is charged with felony possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana and misdemeanor unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were being held Wednesday at the Perry County Jail.
