Katie Cole has been hired as a home mortgage consultant at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in Cape Girardeau. Cole is a 2002 graduate of Central High School. She graduated from McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill., in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She also worked toward a master's degree in counseling at Colorado Christian University. "Although my degree is in psychology, I chose to go into this business because I want to ‘counsel' or guide people through the exciting experience of purchasing a home," Cole said. She grew up around the real estate business and is the daughter of Bill and Susan Cole, owners of Realty Executives of Cape County. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is at 2511 Independence St., Suite 200.
Rachel Tiehes has been named assistant vice president and controller for Capaha Bank. Before joining Capaha Bank, Tiehes worked for Deloith & Touche, LLP and Opaa! Food Management. She is a graduate of Perryville High School and Truman State University. Capaha Bank has more than $180 million in assets with locations in Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Tracy Jones of Fredericktown, Mo., has joined the accounting team at Big River Broadband as an accountant. Jones has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo. The old firehouse in Farmington, Mo., once the renovation is completed, will serve as her base of operations and the headquarters for Big River Broadband. Big River Telephone Co, is a telecommunications provider operating across the United States and based in Cape Girardeau.
Mitch Bachtel has been named administrator for the skilled nursing and assisted living facilities at the Lutheran Home, according to Michelle Sinn, CEO of the Lutheran Home and Saxony Village in Cape Girardeau. Bachtel is a licensed nursing home administrator and comes from the St. Louis area, where he served in a similar capacity.
Kelly Darby of Jackson, a financial representative with Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial, was Representative of the Month in the Missouri East Region for September. Darby joined Modern Woodmen in November. Modern Woodmen is a fraternal life insurance society based in Rock Island, Ill. Modern Woodmen provides life insurance and annuity products to more than 765,000 members nationwide.
