PACTC Welding Program Earns Membership into AWS

Perryville Area Career & Technology Center's Welding Technology Program Earns Membership into the American Welding Society Educational Institute

Perryville Area Career & Technology Center's Welding Technology instructor, Bill Johns, has earned membership into the American Welding Society (AWS) Educational Institute program. "This membership brings with it many opportunities," said Johns, "for not only the program but also for the students. Becoming an AWS certified welding instructor and weld inspector has enabled me to get the welding program into the Institute."

Benefits from the Institute include: welding procedure specifications, the Career Center welding program listed as an educational institute on the AWS web site and in Welding Journal magazines, students can list as part of their training from a certified program in the AWS Institute and numerous other advantages. "I feel that this is a positive membership for the program, school and the students," said Johns.
