A member of the Cape Girardeau Fire Department runs a hose to a fire hydrant Friday when responding to a house fire at 1222 N. Spanish St. in Cape Girardeau. No one was injured in the fire. An unidentified woman was transported by ambulance to a hospital for medical treatment not associated with the fire. A fire department report said the blaze was caused by a faulty window air conditioner. firefighters had the flames under control in about 10 minutes. (Adam Vogler)
