Isle Casino Cape Girardeau attendance was up for the month of July, increasing city revenue by more than $18,500 over June.

According to a monthly Missouri Gaming Commission report, 82,370 patrons visited the casino in July, up from 72,525 in June. Admissions, which is the number of two-hour increments documented for each patron, increased more than 10,000, from 154,501 in June to 165,951 in July.

Attendance at the casino, which opened at the end of October, peaked at 123,000 in March and dropped to about 82,000 in April. Attendance in May dropped to 71,739, its lowest total number of visitors for a full month, before it began a steady increase through July.

Isle of Capri, the casino's parent company, paid the state $331,902 in admission fees, and $1,020,736 in gaming tax.

Half of admission fees and 10 percent of state gaming taxes go to the Cape Girardeau city government, totaling about $268,024 for July. June revenue for the city was about $249,260.

The casino's average take per patron in July was $51.01.
