Interest in the office of Bollinger County presiding commissioner has turned into a five-way Republican race and a Democrat who will face the Republican winner in November.
According to the county clerk's office, Larry Fadler, a Republican, has filed for the office. On Monday afternoon, Kenneth Trentham also filed as a Republican. Trentham serves as an alderman in Marble Hill and once held the office of presiding commissioner. Chris Lape filed Tuesday afternoon.
The two will face incumbent Travis Elfrink and Ronald Reagan.
Ronald L. Davis has filed as a Democrat.
Incumbent Prosecuting Attorney Steve Gray has filed for re-election. He faces Republican challenger Heath Robins.
Brittany Hovis and Misty Stevens will compete for the office of county clerk, an office being vacated by Diane Holzum.
Recorder of deeds Dana Fulbright, treasurer Naomi Null, circuit clerk Jeaneal Vandeven and candidate for county collector Sonya Fulton are unopposed.
Circuit judge Scott Thomsen also seeks re-election from Bollinger County voters.
