Ila "Louise" Hodgkiss, 68, of Scott City died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015, at her home.

She was born Aug. 8, 1947, in Patton, Missouri, to Samuel Price and Ila Hitt Marshall. She married Thomas Hodgkiss Jr. on Jan. 23, 1982, in Cape Girardeau.

She was a clerk for a beauty supply store.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; a son, Stephen (Misty) Dunning of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Amy Toledo of San Antonio; a stepson, Thomas D. Hodgkiss of Memphis, Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Carla (David) Ingmire of Concorde, California; a brother, Sam (Cathy) Marshall of Belleville, Illinois; a sister, Susan (Greg) Newman of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating. Burial will be in Hitt Cemetery near Arbor.
