An apparent explosion destroyed a home Saturday night in rural Bollinger County north of Marble Hill, Missouri.
The explosion occurred on County Road 852 west of Highway 51 about 8:30 p.m. According to scanner reports, the homes of several residents in the area shook during the blast.
Sheriff Darin Shell said no one was injured in the explosion because no one was home at the time.
According to a reporter at the scene at 10:20 p.m., insulation and shingles from the home were thrown 40 feet into the limbs of nearby trees and across the road because of the force of the blast.
