GOP to hold grand opening Saturday of local party HQ; Sen. Blunt to attend

The Cape Girardeau County Republican Central Committee will hold a grand opening of its 2016 GOP headquarters at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., will attend the event.

The GOP headquarters at 1606 N. Kingshighway opened Aug. 3 and will remain open through Election Day. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, said Holly Lintner, chairwoman of the GOP central committee.
