Idell Bird Bradley, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at her home.

She was born Feb. 28, 1916, at Birdtown, Ark., daughter of Rupert E. and Effie Barton Bird. She and Paul Patrick Bradley were married Oct. 23, 1937, in New Madrid, Mo. He died in January 1973.

Idell was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tom and Mary Beth Bradley of Sikeston, Mo., Jim Bradley of New Madrid; a brother, Herbert Bird of Sikeston; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Bradley Jr.; four brothers, and two sisters.

There is no visitation.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Cathedral.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
