ZALMA -- Ella M. Dennis, 98, of Star City, Ark., died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark. She was born April 13, 1901, at Grassy, daughter of Harrison and Zilpha Myers Cooper. She and William F. "Spot" Dennis were married Nov. 18, 1924. He died April 1, 1982...

ZALMA -- Ella M. Dennis, 98, of Star City, Ark., died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Ark.

She was born April 13, 1901, at Grassy, daughter of Harrison and Zilpha Myers Cooper. She and William F. "Spot" Dennis were married Nov. 18, 1924. He died April 1, 1982.

Formerly of Zalma, she was a member of Zalma General Baptist Church.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew, Douglas Cooper, who helped take care of her.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Douglas Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
