JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral for Norma J. Cantrell of Jonesboro will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Stamp will officiate. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Cantrell, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Union County Hospital.
She was born March 6, 1926, in Jonesboro, daughter of Reuben and Emma Mallory Collie. She and James "Chink" Cantrell were married March 31, 1944, in Jonesboro.
Cantrell had been a nurse aide at Union County Hospital.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ronald Cantrell of Mobile, Ala.; three daughters, Linda Ellis of Normal, Ill., Brenda Murphy of Cape Girardeau, Donna Pannell of Chester, Ill.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a grandson, and two brothers.
