CAIRO, Ill. -- William E. "Willie" Taylor, 60, of Urbandale died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 1998, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

He was born March 19, 1938, in Cairo, son of Earl and Marian Taylor.

He was a veteran of the Army and a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his mother, Marian Taylor of Mount Vernon, Ill.; two sons, James Taylor of Theresa, N.Y., and Clifford Taylor of Anna; a daughter, Rebecca Goedeker of St. Louis; seven brothers, Charles Taylor of Florida, Robert Taylor and Thomas Taylor, both of Cairo, James Taylor, Joe Taylor, and John Taylor, all of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Hugh Taylor of Centralia; four sisters, Mary Thompson of Phoenix, Ariz., Margaret Taylor of Texas, Annie Sumner of Florida and Sarah Lovins of Belle Rive, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.

Friends may call from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in National Cemetery in Mound City.
