JACKSON -- Edwin W. Fluegge, 93, of Jackson, died Friday, March 22, 1996, at Ste. Genevieve Hospital.

He was born April 21, 1902, in Cape Girardeau County, son of Herman and Caroline Hauenschild Fluegge. He and Laura Aufdenberg were married July 3, 1927, at Tilsit. He died Oct. 14, 1972.

Fluegge worked on the family farm near Jackson and had been a plumber in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau. He was a former member of Cane Creek School Board, and member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit.

Survivors include two sons, Wilman Fluegge of Whitewater, Glenn Fluegge of Ste. Genevieve; two daughters, Ellen Weinhold of Perryville, Alice Birk of Jackson; a sister, Edna Mantz of Clinton, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Paul Drake officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and at the church Sunday from 1:30 p.m. to service time.
