DEXTER -- Ida Mae Jones, 80, of Dexter died Thursday, Sept. 5, 1996, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center.

She was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Marvel, Ark., daughter of Bill and Mae Jones. She married Sam Chopper at Trailback. He preceded her in death.

Jones lived most of her life in Essex. She attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Gray Ridge.

Survivors include a sister, Ollie Getter of Essex.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Moses Grayson officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.

Friends may call Monday at the funeral home from noon to service time.
