BLOOMFIELD -- Evelyn Jewell Cagle, 86, of Wappapello died Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996, at Doctors' Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

She was the daughter of Elmer and Daisy Cox Walker. She married Henry A. Cagle, who preceded her in death.

Cagle had lived at Dexter several years, moving to Wappapello three years ago.

Survivors include five sons, Norman Walker of Advance, Billy, Junior and Wayne Cagle of Poplar Bluff, Jean Cagle of Dexter; four daughters, Laverne Fargerson and Gonda Buckalew of Shreveport, La., Shirley Douglas of Poplar Bluff, Barbara Mayhall of Abilene, Texas; two sisters, Beulah Riles and Eunice Sitz of Little Rock, Ark.; 26 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at West Pleasant Valley Church near Bloomfield. The Rev. Shawn Fargerson, a grandson, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
