Funeral service for Dorothy E. Lanius, 2833 Vista Lane, will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Randy Cartwright will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m.

Lanius, 82, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born March 28, 1914, at Whitewater, daughter of Joseph Alfred and Bertha Gohn Craft. She and Joseph Lanius were married Oct. 4, 1945, in Anna, Ill. He died Feb. 29, 1980.

Lanius was a member of VFW Auxiliary more than 30 years.

Survivors include a brother, Roscoe Craft of Jonesboro, Ill., and a sister, Betty Bour of Mobile, Ala.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
