PULASKI, Ill. -- James L. Tucker, 68, of Pulaski, died Friday, June 19, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Aug. 21, 1923 at Arlington, Ky., son of James Henry Tucker and Allie West Tucker. He was a retired truck driver with Heilig Fertilizer Co. of Pulaski. PULASKI, Ill. -- James L. Tucker, 68, of Pulaski, died Friday, June 19, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 21, 1923 at Arlington, Ky., son of James Henry Tucker and Allie West Tucker.

He was a retired truck driver with Heilig Fertilizer Co. of Pulaski. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW Post 8891 of Mounds, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Berdie Lingle Tucker of Pulaski; two daughters, Pam Thurston of Pulaski and Janice Eddleman of Dongola, Ill.; two sisters, Laverne Palmer of Mounds and Lorene Heilig of Pulaski; and three granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Corey Tucker, in 1983.

Service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Pulaski Christian Church with the Rev. William Winters officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Pulaski. Full military honors will be provided by VFW Post 8891.

Friends may call today between 4-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
