MEMO: NEW BANK BRANCH TO OPEN IN POTOSI

First State Community Bank (FSCB) will open a temporary banking facility at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Highway P in Potosi, Mo., today.

The branch location will be open five days a week and from 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday. Construction of a permanent facility is set to begin the final quarter of 2001.

First State Community is a full-service financial institution,. It is owned and operated by First State Bancshares Inc., a multi-bankholding company based in Farmington, Mo. FSCB has locations in a number of Southeast Missouri communities, including Ironton, St. Mary, Perryville, Malden, Portageville, Hayti and Fredericktown.
