The fall series of Friendship Bible Coffees will begin this month. Groups meet in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Gordonville and Fruitland at various times. Study topics also vary by meeting time and group leader.

The series is sponsored by the Cape County Christian Women's Clubs and are part of Stonecroft Ministries. The Bible studies are designed for all denominations.

Studies by location:

Cape Girardeau: "Christ in Genesis III," a study for women with young children will be held at 9:30 a.m. each Monday at Cape Bible Chapel. The study resumes this week. Free child care is available. Eloise Terry will lead the 14-week study and can be contacted at 334-7019.

"Christ in the Psalms," is a 14-week study led by Ruth Ann Ford. The group meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Contact Ford at 334-1684 for details.

Jackson:

"Genesis II: The God of the Family" is a 14-week study being led by Jean Petzoldt. It begins at 9 a.m. Sept. 18. Doris Birk is hosting. Contact Petzoldt at (573) 833-6975 for details.

"Colossians, the indewelling Christ" is a study that meets at 9 a.m. Sunday at Emmanuel United Church of Christ. June Borgfield leads the study and can be contacted at 243-5504. Evie Colman also leads a similar study that meets from 1:10-1:50 p.m. at the second floor conference room in the Union Planters Bank building.

Rick Etherington and Jo Leadbetter will lead a series on "Christ in the Psalms" at 7 p.m. each Tuesday. LaDonia and Stanley Beggs will host and can be contacted at 243-2470.

Pat Reddick will lead another study but the topic has yet to be decided. The group meets at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 19. Contact Reddick at 243-1552 for information.

Gordonville:

Mary Ann DePeder will lead a study on Luke for a 14-week course. Jewel Seabaugh will host. The group meets at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 19. Contact DePeder at 334-2314 or Seabaugh at 243-5615 for details.

Fruitland:

Jean Dickey will lead a study at Wesley United Methodist Church each Wednesday from 1:30-3 p.m. The group held its first meeting this week. The topic was undecided. Contact Dickey at 243-2742 for information. Adel Townsend will serve as the group's host.

There are also several nursing home study available. They include a study of 1 John held from 2-3 p.m. on Mondays at the Lutheran Home. Rebecca Volkerding and Margaret Johnson lead the group. Volkerding can be contacted at 243-1711; Johnson can be reached at 335-7376.

Johnson and Ruth Ann Ford also lead a study on Luke at Heartland Rehab in Cape Girardeau. That study meets at 2 p.m. each Wednesday. A similar study meets from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Jackson Manor. It is led by Johnson and Delores Estes.
