THREE INJURED IN SHOOTING
PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- One person is in custody after shooting three Portageville residents early today. Apparently able to identify their assailant, a manhunt began by officers with the Missouri Highway Patrol and the New Madrid County Sheriff's Department. A subject, whose name is not being released pending the filing of formal charges, was taken into custody at Malden and was being transported to the New Madrid County Jail this morning.
Simmons said a motive had not yet been determined.
