Film critic and author Michael Medved will speak at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Southeast Missouri State University's Academic Auditorium.

Medved will speak on the "Liberal Bias in the Media: Why It's There and What to Do About It."

Medved co-hosts "Sneak Previews" the weekly movie review show that airs on more than 200 PBS stations across the nation.

He has authored several books, including "Hollywood vs. America." The book illustrates the need for the film industry to promote family values.

Medved's visit is sponsored by Student Government, Young America's Foundation and Southeast Times, a conservative students' publication at Southeast.

Admission is free and open to the public.
