Earl Newton Bunn, 83, of Effingham, Ill., died Monday, June 17, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born June 1, 1908, in Claremore, Okla., son of William Hatten and Alma Parrish Bunn. He and Audrey Floris Young were married in 1930 in Wichita, Kan.

Bunn worked at Continental Oil Co. 17 years, was general sales manager with American Petrofina Oil. Co. about 20 years, and later owned and operated Springfield Oil Co. in Springfield five years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Bunn of Conyers, Ga., Robert Bunn of West Plains; a daughter, Doris McDermott of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lucille Johnson of Florence, Kan.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Charles Grant will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
