The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri announces an exhibit of antique and restored Harley-Davidson motorcycles at Gallery 100. The opening reception will be held on Friday, September 7, 5-8pm. The display continues through Friday, September 28.

In conjunction with a Harley-Davidson Rally to be held in Cape Girardeau September 7-9, this exhibit will display some of the choicest antique Harleys held in private collections in this area. Al Bogg, of Poplar Bluff, has graciously loaned several motorcycles from his world-class collection, including a 1940 Indian so pristinely renovated that it receives top honors in national and international competitions. David Hutson and Sonny Minor, of Cape, have been instrumental in putting this exhibit together, and will also display motorcycles from their collections.

"Motorcycles have epitomized the free American spirit," said Tom Howard, executive director of the Arts Council. "Their design and form, especially Harleys and Indians, is considered artistic and beautiful in their own right."
