BENTON, Mo. -- The funeral for Margaret Allen of South Fulton, Tenn., was held Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton, Ky. Dr. Charles Parker officiated, with burial in Greenlea Cemetery at Fulton.

Allen, 88, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton.

She was born March 24, 1914, in Fulton County, Ky., daughter of John Aaron and Susie Adeline Bondurant Asbell. She married Jack Thompson Allen, who died Oct. 20, 2002.

Allen was a member of Fulton First United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women and Wesley Gleaners Sunday School Class; Jacob Flournoy Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution; Palestine Homemakers Club; and Fulton Woman's Club.

Survivors include two sons, John Allen of Benton, Thomas Allen of Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, Fred Asbell of Cayce, Ky., Raymond Asbell of Paducah, Ky.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
