Missouri State Auditor Susan Montee has begun a regular audit of Bollinger County and is asking anyone with information or concerns about the county's operations to contact her office.

Under Missouri law, the state auditor conducts reviews in every county that does not have an elected county auditor. The last audit of Bollinger County was released in September 2004 and included a recommendation for tighter financial reporting at the county health center, a concern about the county's weak financial condition overall and several budgeting issues.

A team of auditors is reviewing county records as part of the field work for the audit.
